How to use super fast charging on Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is designed with convenience in mind and super fast charging is a key part of delivering that experience. To ensure you are able to make the most of the S24’s rapid charging capability read on and find out the requirements for super fast charging.
How to turn on Super fast charging
S24 devices have a built-in fast and Super fast charging feature. To activate this feature, follow the steps below:

- This option will enable super fast charging if a super fast charger is being used.
- While charging, the feature cannot be activated or deactivated.
To ensure you maximise charging efficiency, turn your device screen off. While the phone is charging, a lightning symbol will display on the cover screen.
Please Note:
- Super fast charging is not directly referenced on your device. Searching for this topic will yield a result for "fast charging", which includes super fast charging. When plugged into a 45W TA + 5A cable, “super fast charging 2.0” will appear on the screen.
What charger and cable are needed
The S24 supports fast, super fast, and wireless charging.
To use fast charging, you must have a charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 25W.
For super-fast charging, you must have a charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 45W - 45W TA + 5A cable (E-marked).
Please Note: Standard S24 cables only support 25W charging.
You will also need a 45W Travel Adapter. Super-fast charging will not function with a standard charger. We recommend using the USB Type-C, 5A charging cable that comes with the 45W charger.
