Alfred Chua is the Managing Director of The Wok People, an institutional catering company and most overlooked sub-sector of the food industry. The Wok People is ahead of the curve in terms of expertise, capacity, and innovation. It runs 65 canteens that feed employees of large hospitality and retail establishments, semiconductor and manufacturing companies, as well as those dealing in pharmaceutical, petrochemical and shipbuilding. An enterprising leader who is result-driven, he was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Food and Beverage in 2014.
