Galaxy S23

What is the difference between S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra?

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the incredible successor to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, you'll be fully immersed in the epic 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with standout brightness and adaptive Vision Booster technology. With Quad HD+ and an impressive resolution of 3,088 x 1440, you can experience all your favourite entertainment and apps at their best.

In contrast, the Galaxy S23 Ultra benefits from the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 processor, which differs from the Exynos 2200 found in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 chipset delivers a premium smartphone experience with desktop-level functionality and advanced customisation. Intelligently engineered it delivers ground-breaking AI to enable truly extraordinary smartphone interactions, putting the power back in your hands.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is built to be tough and uses the latest Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 to protect the front and back. With very similar physical dimensions, the Galaxy S23 Ultra weighs in slightly heavier at 233g compared with 228g for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Incredible cameras have long been synonymous with the Galaxy S series, and both the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra certainly have outstanding camera specs. But with a revolutionary camera setup and Nightography upgrades, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has Samsung's most advanced camera setup yet. You’ll find an upgraded Ultra High-Resolution Rear Camera in the 3-lens rear camera set-up, boosting the already impressive 108MP to an incredible 200MP.

That's not all, when it comes to capturing images in low light, the Galaxy S23 Ultra really brings the night to life. You can boost, brighten and sharpen all the pictures and videos you capture after dark. Nightography is now even available on the 12MP Dual Pixel Front-Facing Selfie Camera. And when it comes to capturing video? The Digital image stabilisation and enhanced noise control will keep your content super smooth and professional. Before you know it, you'll be the nominated photographer amongst your friends.

Galaxy S23+ vs S22+: What's the difference?

Like the Galaxy S22+, the Galaxy S23+ sits between the S23 and S23 Ultra in terms of its size - measuring in at 6.6 inches with an impressive Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. However, it has upgraded glass protection with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 giving it the title of Samsung's most durable range to date.

Another key difference between the S23+ and S22+ is the exceptional Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 processor. Combined with 8GB of RAM, this latest chipset promises dynamic gaming, an improved CPU, GPU and an advanced cooling system, making even the most demanding online multiplayer marathons feel like a breeze. There's also an enormous 4,700mAh battery upgrade*, in contrast to 4,500mAh with the S22+ and with Super-Fast Charging you can power through the day worry-free.

When it comes to the camera setup the Galaxy S23+ gives you the tools to capture perfect pics after sundown. With an upgraded 12MP Dual Pixel Auto Focus Front-Facing Camera you'll experience clearer, brighter and sharper selfies in low-light conditions. And to make sure your posts always look their best, the Galaxy S23 comes with greater integration with social apps, including Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok, so you can share your favourite moments on your feed with friends and family in an instant.

What's the difference between Samsung Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S22?

Both the Galaxy S23 and S22 are the smallest in their respective Galaxy S ranges, measuring at 6.1 inches. They both benefit from Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology and FHD+ displays which provides exceptional clarity whatever you're watching. With Adaptive Vision Booster technology and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate built into the intelligent display, you'll never struggle to watch a show on a sunny day or be dazzled by it in the dark again.

With the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 chipset on the S23, you can now unlock higher frame rates and enjoy sharper, more vivid graphics. Along with the boosted 3,900mAh battery, there's a new and improved cooling system in place which is two times larger than that found on the Galaxy S22.

The Galaxy S23 also features the latest version of Nightography which is powered by Enhanced AI to capture the finest details. It can even distinguish between different textures in low-lit environments, so after-dark photos look as detailed as real life. Videos will also be smoother when compared to the Galaxy S22 thanks to Digital Image Stabilisation which means the content is filmed through the triple lens Rear Camera letting you get closer to the action.

The new and improved One UI 5.1 found across the Galaxy S23 series also enables greater customisation and personalisation. From lock screen and wallpaper designs, to how the clock and notification bar appears. You can even manage how notifications appear and assign full-screen GIFs to your favourite contacts.
