We’re on a mission to put the planet first when designing our products. So now when you choose a Samsung device or appliance, you’re supporting our efforts to cut e-waste and promoting the use of recycled materials. Check out some of the meaningful ways we’re making changes to our products, manufacturing and services so we can all live more sustainably.
We’re offering easier ways to recycle
Our goal is to make recycling as convenient as product purchases. The Samsung RE+ program is among the largest e-waste recycling programs in the tech sector. We have over 1,700 drop off locations in the U.S. And as an e-Stewards Enterprise Partner, we follow the highest standards for responsible recycling.

We’re collecting and recycling e-waste like never before
As of 2021, we’re at a 96% operational waste recycling rate. One big way we’re reducing waste is by offering refurbished and repairable products. See how you can reduce your waste and save money with our lineup of Certified-Renewed phones.
We’re using sustainable materials in more of our products
We‘ve increased our use of recycled materials in every generation of products and packaging. In 2021, we used over 33,000 metric tons of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Our new Galaxy smartphone charger, Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live and Buds2 all include 20% PCR plastic.
