Microsoft support for Samsung's 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors (Skylake Platform)
Microsoft has announced it is limiting its support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on the Skylake Platform
According to the Microsoft, processors released after the Skylake Platform will only receive Windows 10 support.
However, in the case of the Skylake Platform processors listed below, Microsoft will continue offering support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 until July 17, 2017. Microsoft has announced that after this date, it will begin delivering essential security updates only.

Samsung's Skylake Platform Windows 7 support details
According to Microsoft's new policies, the Skylake Platform models below will continue to receive Windows 7 technical support until July 17, 2017. For models released prior to the Intel Skylake Platform, please refer to the Microsoft Lifecycle Web site.
