Clothes are not dry after Samsung ventless dryer cycle

If your clothes are wet or damp after running a cycle in your Samsung ventless dryer, you may need to check your home's circuit breaker or the dryer's lint filter. Overloading the dryer may also cause drying issues.

If your Samsung dryer is not warming up during the cycle, please check the following:

  • Check your home's circuit breaker or fuses.
  • Check the dryer's lint filter, exhaust duct, and heat exchanger, and clean them if necessary.

    Note
: A 4 inch metal exhaust duct should be used.
  • If you have a gas model, make sure the gas supply has been turned on.
  • Ensure you are using the correct cycle. Some cycles on your ventless dryer do not require heat.
  • Keep in mind that the dryer may have switched to the cooling process of the cycle. In this case, you will not feel heat coming from the dryer.

If your items are not dry after removing them from the dryer, ensure all of the above points have been checked, as well as the following:

  • Make sure the dryer has not been overloaded. This may result in longer drying times.
  • Dry heavy fabrics separately from light fabrics.
  • Large, bulky items (such as blankets or comforters) may require repositioning to ensure even drying. However, make sure the dryer is not overloaded with bulky items.
  • Very small items may not dry thoroughly. Additionally, if the load is too small, it may not tumble properly. You can add some towels to the load, and then restart the cycle.
  • If a drain hose is connected, make sure the water is draining properly.
  • Check the exhaust hood outside of your home and ensure it can open and close freely.

If you receive the following alerts on your dryer: "Clean heat exchanger & tap OK" or "Clean heat exchanger optional filter & tap OK," please use the following cleaning instructions:

  1. Carefully press the top part of the heat exchanger's outer cover so it opens.
  2. Unlock the inner cover.
  3. Pull the inner cover to remove it.
  4. Clean the dust on the heat exchanger using the brush provided with your dryer.

Note: You may use a soft, damp cloth to clean the remaining dust.
