Samsung Freestyle is noisy

The Freestyle may make some noises while you’re using it, such as popping or humming sounds. These sounds are completely normal and do not require service. You can review our guide to learn more about the sounds you may hear when using the Freestyle.

The following sounds are normal and do not indicate a device malfunction.

Fan sound

The projector’s internal fan will rotate while the device is being used. The fan is meant to cool down the projector's interior.

Popping sound

The projector’s outer casing may expand and contract while the device is being used, causing a popping sound.

Humming sound

The projector’s internal circuits may cause a humming sound. A humming sound may also occur when the projector’s brightness level is high.
