USB cable connection issues with Samsung phone or tablet

USB charging cable is broken

You may experience issues connecting a USB cable to your phone if the cable is damaged or if the cable and phone have been exposed to moisture. You can try using a new USB cable as well.

The connection speed may also vary depending on the device you are trying to connect to. Make sure to check this device for damage.

  1. Check for moisture.

Check if there is moisture on the USB cable or in the USB connection port on the phone. This can cause the devices to malfunction.

  2. Check the USB cable for damage.

A damaged USB cable should be discarded for a new one.

  3. Remove any cases.

Some cases may interfere with the fit of the cable. Take the case off the phone and try inserting the cable again.

  4. Use a different cable.

Try connecting a different cable. We recommend using a genuine Samsung cable.

  5. Request service.

If you visit a Samsung Service Center for issues with a USB connection, please bring your USB cable with you to receive more accurate guidance.
