Network settings on Galaxy phone

Depending on your region and environment, your device may temporarily disconnect from your mobile network or have a slow network connection. This may be due to your subscribed plan, access region, and mobile network settings.

  1. Check if you are subscribed to a 5G plan.

If you are using a 5G device but cannot connect to 5G, please check with your carrier to see whether you are subscribed to a 5G plan, and that there aren't any issues with your account. You can also check if you are currently in a region that supports 5G.

  2. Check your mobile network settings.

On your device, navigate to and open Settings, tap Connections, and then tap Mobile networks.Mobile networks highlighted on a Galaxy phone

  3. If needed, contact your carrier for assistance with network access and account issues.

  4. Select your network mode.

Tap Network mode, and then select your desired mode.

  5. Reset network settings.

Resetting your network settings will remove all Bluetooth pairings and stored Wi-Fi networks.

    1. Open Settings and then tap General management.
    2. Tap Reset, and then tap Reset network settings.
    3. Tap Reset settings. You will prompted to enter your PIN or password to continue if you have one set.
    4. Finally, tap Reset. You can now test your mobile connection.

  6. Request service.

If you continue to lose your mobile network connection or if it continues to disconnect, please visit a Samsung walk-in service center or you can schedule a repair service online.
