
Samsung Sound Tower is not working well after firmware update

If you just recently updated the firmware on your Samsung Sound Tower, but find that it is not working properly, or it is behaving erratically, you will need to install an additional firmware update.
The main unit firmware updates the firmware for the main unit, but there is a separate firmware update file for the Bluetooth module on the Sound Tower. Follow these steps to get your Sound Tower fully updated:

On your PC, navigate to the Samsung Sound Tower download center and select your model.
Click here to go straight to the download center for the Samsung Sound Tower, and then use the second drop down to select your model.

Select see more under Manuals and Downloads to access all of the files.
Listed under Manuals and Downloads you will see See More. Click this to see the list of firmware files as well as a document that provides the steps for installing the firmware.

Install the file for the Main Unit and the Bluetooth module.
There is an upgrade file for both the main unit and the Bluetooth module. More than likely, you have already updated the firmware for the main unit, or it was updated automatically via SmartThings which is why the unit is acting erratically. So you do not need to install the update again. But you need to install the update for the Bluetooth. It is recommended to also download the Upgrade Guide as it will provide the steps for updating.
