Cannot update Samsung soundbar firmware

Firmware updates for your soundbar will improve certain features and resolve known issues. If your soundbar is connected to the internet, that way is usually easiest, but many soundbars don't have that function. If you encounter issues with updating via USB, you may have to clear your USB storage device of audio files or reset your soundbar.
Do not turn off the soundbar during the update.
-
Copy down all the settings you want to keep.
Firmware updates will delete all personal settings on the soundbar and will remove the subwoofer connection. Make note of your settings so you can reset them later.
-
Clear audio files from your USB device.
If your USB storage device contains audio files, it may impact the update. Clear your storage device of all audio files before using it for the update.
-
Power cycle the soundbar, and then perform the firmware update.
Power off the soundbar, and then disconnect all of its cables, including the ones connected to the TV. Reconnect the cables, and then turn the soundbar back on. Then, try to perform the firmware update.
-
If the update still fails, try using a different USB device.
Your USB storage device may not be compatible with the soundbar. If the update does not install, try using a different device.
