The Samsung air purifier makes strange noises

Your air purifier is usually going to be pretty quiet unless it's running at the highest fan setting. You can use Sleep mode, Wind-Free mode, or set the fan speed to Auto to help reduce the overall volume. But if you're concerned about a particular noise, here's a list of the noises your air purifier might make.
Noise while moving the air purifier
If you move the air purifier during operation, it may cause noise. Turn off the power before moving the air purifier.
Clicking or rattling
When the front panel is opening or closing, it may make a click or rattle sound. These sounds are normal motor noises made during calibration that the motor uses to confirm it's fully open or closed.
The default recommended setting for the Air Purifier is to leave it on Auto and so the front panel may open or close as fan speed adjusts.
Hissing
When the air purifier is operating, the sensor may make a hissing sound.
When the air purifier stops running, the fan may make a hissing sound as it slows down and stops.
Sudden increase in volume
When the air purifier is set to Auto, it will adjust the fan speed relative to the current air quality. This can result in a sudden increase in fan speed and volume, but it will quiet down once the air is cleaner.
