Amazon Prime Video displays incorrect aspect ratio

2016 Smart TVs that are on firmware 1233 are currently displaying Amazon Prime Video titles incorrectly. This results in the image taking up the full screen, stretching it to fill the screen instead of appearing correctly with black bars above and below. A fix for this is now available in software version 1240.0.

The software update (ver. 1240.0) is available to install directly from your TV. It should install automatically on your TV or you can check for software updates if hasn't installed yet:

Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
The TV checks for any new updates and installs them.
Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete.
The TV will restart automatically when the update is complete.
