Issues with HMD Odyssey Controllers

Your HMD Odyssey's controller uses LED constellation rings and vibrations to communicate with games and the headset. If you are experiencing issues with the HMD Odyssey's controllers, follow the steps below to solve the problem.

Restart the HMD Odyssey Controllers

 

  • Verify that the controller is turned on, fully charged, and connected to the computer via Bluetooth.
  • Make sure the batteries do not need replacing.
  • Verify the controller icon appears on the left side of the Mixed Reality Portal app screen.
  • Verify the computer and controllers are within the maximum Bluetooth range.
  1. Turn both controllers off.

    Press and hold the Windows button on each of the controllers for 4 seconds to turn them off.

  2. Turn the controllers back on.

    Press and hold the Windows button on each of the controllers for 2 seconds.

  3. Navigate to Devices settings on the computer.

    On the computer, select Start, select Settings, select Devices.

  4. Verify that the controllers are paired with the computer.

    Select Bluetooth & other devices, and then verify that both of the controllers are Paired.

    The controllers show as Connected when they're powered on.
