
Chrome Shell or Crosh Environment on Your Chromebook

Google's Chrome OS includes a shell environment known as Chrome Shell, or "crosh" for short. Crosh provides several terminal commands that can be used on your Chromebook, even if developer mode isn't enabled. Crosh includes commands for monitoring resource usage, debugging network problems, performing hardware tests, and other debugging purposes. Keep reading to learn more.

Sign into your Chromebook. Then, press ctrl + alt + t. The browser will open and take you to Crosh.

From the Crosh page, you can run the "help" command to view a list of basic commands. Or run "help_advanced" for more advanced commands that are mainly used for debugging.
