Switch your Samsung Chromebook to the stable channel

The Chrome OS is under constant development to bring you the latest features and safest browsing experience. It is possible to switch to a development channel to use the latest enhancements, however these channels are unstable and unsupported.
Switching from an experimental channel Developer to a more stable channel will delete everything from your Chromebook, like downloaded files, photos, owner permissions, and saved networks for all accounts. All Google Accounts will need to be readded.
-
Navigate to Settings.
From the Desktop, click the time at bottom right corner, and then click the Settings icon.
-
Change the OS channel to Stable.
Click About Chrome OS and then click Additional details. Click change channel and then, choose Stable. Click Change channel and Powerwash. The Chromebook will reset, you will need to sign in with your Google account again.
If you're using the Chromebook at work or school, and you switch from Dev to Beta or Beta to Stable, the Chromebook won't immediately update. The software will update when a new, more stable software version matches the version already installed. Apps, data, and settings won't be deleted.
