Blu-ray home theater system does not turn off

Turning your Blu-ray player or home theater system should be easy. However, it could just be your remote is in need of new batteries. Follow these quick steps to identify the cause of the issue.
-
Try turning it off with the remote.
First, press the BD button to set the player to Blu-ray DVD Mode (BD Mode). Then, press the Power button.
-
Try turning it off with the Power button on the system itself.
If the home theater system turns off when you press the Power button on the system but not when you use the remote, the issue is with your remote. Replace the batteries in your remote and then try again. To purchase a replacement remote go to Samsungparts.com and enter the model number of your Blu-ray player.
-
Disconnect and reconnect the home theater system.
Disconnect the home theater system and leave it disconnected for about 30 to 60 seconds to let the electric charge completely drain out of it. This can clear electrical glitches in the system that may be preventing the home theater system from processing the command to turn off.
Then, plug it back in, turn it on, wait for the Home menu to appear, and finally try turning it off again.
