Blu-ray home theater system does not turn off

First, press the BD button to set the player to Blu-ray DVD Mode (BD Mode). Then, press the Power button.

If the home theater system turns off when you press the Power button on the system but not when you use the remote, the issue is with your remote. Disconnect the home theater system and leave it disconnected for about 30 to 60 seconds to let the electric charge completely drain out of it. This can clear electrical glitches in the system that may be preventing the home theater system from processing the command to turn off.

Then, plug it back in, turn it on, wait for the Home menu to appear, and finally try turning it off again.
