Samsung Blu-ray player is not responding

There are really only a couple of reasons for the picture being frozen or the Blu-ray player not responding. Either there is something wrong with the disc, or the Blu-ray player needs firmware update. It really is that straightforward.
-
Remove the disc.
Press the eject button on the Blu-ray player to open the tray and remove the disc, and then press eject again to close the tray.
-
Reset the player to factory settings.
Attempt a power reset by pressing and holding the Fast Forward button for more than 5 seconds. All of the player's settings will be reset to their factory settings.
If the power does not turn off, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for one minute, and then plug the cord back in.
-
Perform a firmware update.
For Blu-ray players that are already connected to the internet, navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, and then select Update Now > OK. You can also update the Blu-ray players firmware via USB.
If the picture is still frozen, visit the Support Center to request service.
