Perform a soft reboot on the Samsung SmartThings hub
Available features, menu options, and settings may vary by the hub, network connection, and software version.
Perform the appropriate steps based on the type of hub you have. After the reboot is complete, the hub's LED status indicator will be solid green once the hub is back online.
SmartThings Wifi
Navigate to SmartThings, and then tap Menu (three horizontal lines). Tap the Location drop-down menu, and then select the location of the hub. Tap the hub's device card, and then tap Network status. Tap the Wifi hub image > More Options (three vertical dots), and then tap Reboot device > REBOOT. The hub will reboot.
Connect Home
Navigate to SmartThings, and then tap Menu (three horizontal lines). Tap the Location drop-down menu, and then select the location of the hub. Tap the hub's device card, and then tap the Wi-Fi hub image. Swipe to and tap Reboot device > REBOOT. The hub will reboot.
SmartThings Hub (2018) and SmartThings Hub v2 (2015)
On the back of the hub, use a small tool to press and hold the RESET button, and then release it when the LED turns off. Wait a few minutes for the hub to reboot. Once the hub is back online, the LED will be solid green.
SmartThings Hub v1 (2013)
Note: You cannot soft reboot the SmartThings Hub v1. You must perform a hard reboot instead.
Disconnect the both power and ethernet cables from the back of the hub. Wait at least 30 seconds before reconnecting them again.
