Soundbar will not turn on

When your soundbar won't turn on, you aren't able to get great sound from your movies and video games. Hopefully the problem is as simple as tightening up your power cable where it's come loose, or your wall outlet has stopped working.

Unplug the soundbar from the wall outlet and check where the two parts of the power cord connect.

Your power cord actually comes in two parts and it is this connection between them that is most likely to be forgotten about. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet first, and then check where the two parts connect. Be sure to connect them firmly; they should not easily disconnect.
Test the wall outlet.

Make sure the wall outlet is working by plugging another device in, like a lamp.

If the outlet's not working, you can check if the home's circuit is tripped. Otherwise, contact an electrician for further assistance.
Check the power cord connection on the back of the soundbar.

Here's the next place to make sure nothing is loose. Make sure the power cord is firmly connected to the soundbar. There shouldn't be any gaps and it should not disconnect easily.
Plug the soundbar into the wall outlet, and turn it on.

No sound from the home theater system

If you are not hearing any sound from your Home Theater System, it can ruin movie night. Depending on which speakers you are not hearing sound from, there may be an issue, or the fact that you aren't hearing sound may be due to the settings you're using. There may also be a loose connection to correct.

Samsung TV or projector has low audio when watching movies

Home theater system shuts down automatically or displays "Protection"

Your home theater system has built in overheating protection. If it gets too hot, it will shut itself down to prevent itself from melting. If it is turning off without shutting itself down first, there could be an issue with the power supply from the wall outlet.

Sound drops out from the wireless subwoofer

The sound on your wireless subwoofer can drop out if there is interference or a physical obstruction between the soundbar and subwoofer. You can try checking the firmware version, resetting, and reconnecting the subwoofer.

Subwoofer will not turn on

If your subwoofer isn't turning on, there's really only three possibilities. Either it doesn't have power, or it's lost the connection to your soundbar. If it's not either of those, then it needs service. The steps to check which possibility is occurring are quick and easy.
