Reasons why the Z-Wave device will not connect to your Hub

Possible Causes of Connection Issues

If the device is experiencing issues connecting to the Hub, it could be due to the following:

  • The device's pull-tab may have broken off when it was pulled.
  • The device is not receiving power.
  • The device's battery is drained and needs replacing.
  • The device is too far away from the Hub. Place the device within 10 feet of the Hub.
  • There may be Wi-Fi interference from the main router. If possible, move the Hub as far away as possible from the main Wi-fi router.
  • Determine how many devices are connected to the Hub. If there are other Z-Wave repeaters between the Hub and the device, it could be causing interference, and you may need to run a Z-Wave Network Repair.
