If sound is coming from the TV speakers, but the TV is not displaying a picture, there are three possible issues. A connection issue, an issue with the device connected to the TV, or a part in the TV has failed. This guide will walk you through finding the source of the issue.

  1. Press the Menu button.

Press the Menu button on your remote control and on the TV. If the menu does not display, contact the Support Center to request service.

  2. Check the connections and cables.

On the back of the TV and the connected device, make sure that none of the cables are loose or attached to the wrong port. If there is a damaged or defective cable, you need to replace it.

  3. Check the settings on the external device.

Check the settings on the device connected to the TV. There may be a switch or button that turns its different outputs on and off.

  4. Connect another device to the same input.

If you get a picture from the new device, there is an issue with the original device you connected.

For example, If your cable box is not working on HDMI 1, disconnect it and try a game system, Blu-ray player, or other device on the same input.

If the TV continues to play sound but does not show an image after trying all of the steps above, service is required. Please visit the Support Center to request service.
