Remove Water from the Gear Fit2 Pro Vent Hole

If water gets in the air vent hole after the Gear Fit2 Pro has been submerged in water, the Gear may act abnormally. Learn how to remove water from the air vent hole.

  • If the Gear is exposed to clean water, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Liquids will change the color of the label that indicates water damage. Water damage voids the device warranty.
  • The touchscreen may malfunction in humid conditions or when exposed to water.
  1. Remove the straps.

    Remove the straps from your Gear.

  2. Hold the Gear with the air vents underneath.

    Hold the Gear with the buttons positioned on the right and the air vent hole underneath.

  3. Shake the Gear.

    Shake the Gear a few times to remove any remaining water.

    If issues still persist after performing the steps above, service is required. Please visit the Support Center to request service.
