Samsung smart watch paired with phone displays the incorrect time

When your watch is connected to your phone, the date and time information is generated from the phone. If the date and time is incorrect, you can verify the Automatic date and time settings on the phone.

Available features, menu options, and settings may vary by the watch and software. 

  1. Navigate to Settings on the phone.

    Using the connected phone, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen, and then tap Settings.

    You can also swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification panel, and then tap the Settings icon located at the top right corner.

  2. Find and check the Date and time settings.

    Search for and select Date and time. You can also tap General management, and then tap Date and time.

    • Make sure the switch next to "Automatic date and time" is turned on.

    • If the Automatic date and time feature is on but the incorrect time is still displaying, turn Automatic date and time off and then on again using the switch.

  3. Restart the phone.

    On the phone, press and hold the Side button (Power key), tap Restart, and then tap Restart again.

    Alternatively, you can swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Power icon. Tap Restart, and then tap Restart again. Restart option on a Galaxy phone

  4. If the issue continues, unpair the watch and phone.

    To unpair the watch from your phone, go to Settings on the phone, tap Connections, and then tap Bluetooth. Tap the Settings icon next to the watch's name, and then tap Unpair.

    Then, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and select the watch from the device list. The app may take a moment to search for the watch. When prompted, confirm the Bluetooth pairing code to connect the watch to your phone again.

    The watch will sync the correct time with the phone.
