Cannot control devices or status is incorrect on your watch

Devices screen on Galaxy Watch

Once the SmartThings app is set up on the connected phone and devices are added, you can easily control and quickly monitor devices from the watch.

If you are unable to control a device on the watch or a status is incorrect, keep the following in mind:

  • The watch must be connected to the phone through the Galaxy Wearable app via Bluetooth, a mobile network, or remote connection.

  • The device must be powered on and connected to the SmartThings Hub.

  • If the manufacturer is performing device maintenance, the device will continue to function but will not be able to be controlled by the app.

  • If the issue persists on the watch, check if the SmartThings app works on the phone.
