Altitude or barometer is inaccurate on Samsung smartwatch

Your Samsung smartwatch's pressure sensor can calculate altitude and barometric pressure, but it requires calibration to work correctly. By default, the sensor will automatically calculate the altitude and barometric pressure based on the watch's location. The Manual calibration option can also calculate these if the automatic calibration fails.

Make sure the  Alti-Barometer app is installed on your watch.

  1. Navigate to Alti-Barometer.

From the watch's Home screen, press the Home key (Power key), and then navigate to and to select Alti-Barometer.

  2. Change the settings.

Swipe left until you reach the Settings screen, and then tap CHANGE.

  3. Manually calibrate the sensor.

Tap Manual calibration, and then tap the switch to turn it on. Swipe to and tap Altitude or Sea level pressure. Adjust the amount by rotating the bezel, or by tapping the amount and then typing your desired numbers. When you're ready, tap SET.

Please be aware that if manual calibration is enabled, the pressure sensor may be inaccurate.
