Samsung dishwasher displays 1E clogged filter error

When a Clogged Filter Error (1E) occurs, it means the fine filter at the bottom of the dishwasher is dirty. You will need to clean the filter to clear this notification. For better washing performance, clean the filter at least once a month.
If the dishwasher was just running, items inside may still be very hot. Open the door and allow it to cool before completing these steps.
-
Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom rack.
By removing the bottom rack, you will have access to the filter compartment door located in the center of the dishwasher.
-
Remove the micro filter.
Rotate the door handle counterclockwise to unfasten the filter compartment door. Remove the filter door, and then remove the micro filter (fine filter) found underneath.
-
Clean the micro filter.
Remove any dirt or debris from the micro filter and filter door. Rinse under clean, running water.
-
Reinstall the flat micro filter and the filter door.
Place the micro filter back in the filter compartment. Replace filter door on top. Rotate the filter door handle clockwise to lock the filter door.
If the filter door does not close properly, the dishwasher's cleaning performance will decrease.

Request service.
If this error code returns, visit the Support Center to request service.
Some of the debris that is trapped in the filter may be sharp (glass, bones, plastics, etc.), so please be careful when cleaning the filters.
