Galaxy phone or tablet's photos have dark or colored spots

If the photos you took on your phone are marred by random dark, black, pink, or other colored spots, there may be a problem with the Camera app. This is most often caused by a software issue rather than a fault with the actual screen or camera.

Enable automatic flash on the camera
Avoid exposing the camera lens to strong light sources or direct sunlight to prevent black spots from appearing. It could also cause irreparable damage to the camera's image sensor which may cause pink spots to appear in photos.
-
Determine if you need Flash.
Before taking a photo, determine if the surrounding light is bright enough to capture the subjects in your photo. If it isn’t, you may want to enable the Flash function.
-
Navigate to the Flash settings.
Open the Camera app, and then tap Flash at the top (the lightning bolt icon) to open the Flash settings.
Tap your desired icon to enable the setting. You can choose from:
- Flash: Off (lightning bolt with a strike through it). Turn the Flash function off.
- Flash: Auto (lightning bolt next to an A). This will automatically enable the flash for every photo until you turn it off.
- Flash: On (lightning bolt). Turn the Flash function on. Flash will activate for every picture, even in brightly lit areas.
-
Determine the appropriate setting.
Tap Flash: On or Flash: Auto if you are in a dimly lit area.
If your environment is well-lit, you may set the camera to Flash: Off instead.
