Smart Switch cannot connect to iCloud on phone

If you receive a message that Samsung Smart Switch can't connect to iCloud, it is probably because of a minor error, such as typing in the wrong Apple password or not being connected to the internet.

  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet.

If you are unable to connect to iCloud while using the Smart Switch app, tap OK to try to reconnect.

If this doesn't work, make sure your phone is connected to the internet, and make sure Wi-Fi or mobile data is turned on.

  2. Make sure your Galaxy phone is a trusted device.

If a popup message appears, tap Trust on your iPhone to allow access to your Galaxy phone.Trust highlighted on an iPhone

  3. Check if you're entering the correct information.

Make sure you are entering the correct Apple ID and password.

  4. Sign into your Apple account.

Once you are sure your Apple ID and password are correct, navigate to Apple's account management page. Sign in to your Apple account.

  5. Try Smart Switch again.

Go back to Smart Switch and check to see if you can connect to iCloud now.
