1
Turn on notifications.

Navigate to and open Settings, then tap Apps, and then select the app that is experiencing the issue. Tap Notifications, and then turn on notifications by tapping the switch next to Allow notifications. If you'd like the app to alert you with sound and vibration, tap Allow sound and vibration.

Some apps allow you to choose what types of notifications you will receive. After tapping Notifications, make sure the notifications are enabled for your desired categories.

Many apps also allow control over notifications when you tap on a category. You can make certain categories silent, choose what sound they make, or even allow them to still make a sound when Do not disturb is enabled.

2
Check the settings in the app.
Some apps may have additional notification settings within the app itself. You may need to open the app and check its settings, menus, or help page.
