Please read the Safety Instructions before using your product to ensure safe operation. Store the provided User Manual in a safe location for future reference. These instructions and the product itself provide important safety warnings, to be observed at all times. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injuries or damage that are the result of incorrect installation or usage, or failure to follow safety warnings.

Warnings and Safety Instructions provided in this guide do not cover all possible conditions and situations. Always use caution and care when installing, maintaining, and operating your product. Your product is intended for residential use only. Since the features and functions of your product may be different from those described in these instructions, not all warnings may apply to your product. For complete information about your product, you can find your complete user manual at www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads.

Potential hazards exist with any equipment using electricity and moving parts. Use your product only for its intended purpose as described in the user manual. Failure to follow safety warnings and instructions may result in serious injury, death, or property damage.

If you have questions or concerns, contact your service agent, the manufacturer, or the nearest service center. You can find additional support at www.samsung.com/us/support/contact.

    HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION

Your product is not intended for industrial or commercial use; it is for personal use only. To safely use your product and avoid injuries, read these instructions and keep them in a safe place where readily available if needed. Please heed all warnings and take the following precautions:

Keep pets and small children away from the product.

Do not hang anything from or on the product.

To avoid electric shock, never touch the inside of the product.

Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Do not place any objects containing water, such as vases, on the product.

Do not drop or strike the product. If this occurs and the product is damaged, disconnect the power cord from the electric outlet and contact a Samsung service center.

Never place items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on the top of the product or furniture on which the product is placed.

Store the accessories (remote control, batteries, etc.) in a location safely out of the reach of children.

Caution: There is danger of an explosion if you replace the batteries with the wrong type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Condensation may occur if your product has been stored in cold temperatures. If transporting the product during the winter, wait approximately 2 hours until the unit has reached room temperature before using.

    Warning
To prevent damage that may result in fire or electric shock hazards, do not expose the product to water, rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Also never insert liquids or anything metallic into the open parts of the product.
    Caution
Always educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the product set or its controls. Additionally, pulling, pushing, or climbing on the product may cause it to fall so ensure your children do not hang on or destabilize the product. This action may cause the product to tip over, causing serious injuries or death.

    POWER SAFETY

Accumulated dust can cause an electric shock, an electric leakage, or a fire by causing the power cord to generate sparks and heat by causing the insulation to deteriorate.

Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or adaptors beyond their voltage and capacity; doing so may cause fire or electric shock. Refer to the power specifications section of the manual or the power supply label on the product for voltage and amperage information.

Power supply cords should be placed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to cords at the plug end, at wall outlets, and at the point where they exit from the product.

Be sure to plug in the power cord to the wall outlet until it is firmly seated. When unplugging the power cord from a wall outlet, always pull on the power cord's plug. Never unplug it by pulling on the power cord. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands.

If this product does not operate normally - in particular, if there are any unusual sounds or smells coming from it - unplug it immediately and contact an authorized dealer or Samsung service center.

To protect this product from a lightning storm, or to leave it unattended and unused for a long time, be sure to unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.

To turn off the product completely, disconnect it from the wall outlet. To ensure you can unplug the product quickly if necessary, make sure that the wall outlet and power plug are readily accessible.

Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.

If your product uses an AC adapter, only use the AC adaptor provided with your Samsung product, and do not use the power cord with other products.

Ensure that the AC power supply in your house complies with the power requirements listed on the identification sticker located on the bottom of your product.

Use only a properly grounded plug and wall outlet. An improper ground may cause electric shock or equipment damage.

Class l Equipment products must be connected to an earthed MAINS socket outlet. To disconnect the product from the mains, the plug must be pulled out from the mains socket.

As long as the product is connected to the AC wall outlet, it is not disconnected from the AC power source even if you turn off this unit by POWER.

Make sure to rest the AC/DC Adapter flat on a table or the floor. If you place the AC/DC Adapter so that it is hanging with the AC cord input facing upwards, water or other foreign substances could enter the Adapter and cause the Adapter to malfunction.

    INSTALLATION SAFETY

Install the product according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Do not install the product in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar enclosure.

Never place the product in an unstable location because it may fall, causing serious personal injury or death.

When you install the product with a stand, avoid placing the stand on the back part of the table surface. Failure to do so may cause motion sensors to not work properly.

Position the product close to the wall to avoid the possibility of it falling when pushed. Also, ensure that the product does not hang over the edge of the furniture or surface on which it is placed.

If the furniture on which the product is placed has drawers, cabinets, or shelves underneath it, take steps to prevent children from climbing, such as installing safety latches so the doors cannot be opened.

Never place the product on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the product to a suitable support.

Never place the product on cloth or other materials that may be located between it and supporting furniture.

When you have to relocate or lift a product television for replacement or cleaning, be sure not to pull out the stand.

Place the product on a platform, stand, cabinet, table, or other surface which is recommended by Samsung or sold with the product. It must be sufficiently wider in the base than the base measurement of the product and strong enough to support its size and weight.

Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/product combination to avoid injury from tip-over. Disconnect all power cords from wall outlets and disconnect other wires prior to moving the set.

Do not install the product near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or amplifiers.

Do not install the product in an area where it is exposed to direct sunlight.

Be sure to contact an authorized Samsung service center for information if you intend to install your product in a location with heavy dust, high or low temperatures, high humidity, and chemical substances, or where it will operate 24 hours a day. Failure to do so may lead to serious damage to your product

    Warning
To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles and other items with open flames away from this product at all times.

MOUNTING THE PRODUCT ON A WALL

Follow the instructions for wall mounting in the installation manual and use the mounting equipment supplied by Samsung.

If you mount this product on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as set out by the manufacturer. If it is not correctly mounted, the product may slide or fall and cause serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the product. Samsung is not responsible for any damage to the product or injury to yourself, or others if you choose to install the product on your own or fail to follow the installation instructions. To order the Samsung wall mount kit, contact the Samsung service center at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864).

Install the product near the wall so that it does not fall backward.

To prevent injury, products must be securely attached in accordance with the installation instructions.

Do not install your wall mount kit while your product is turned on. This may result in personal injury from electric shock.

Install the wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Before attaching the wall mount to surfaces other than plaster board or sheetrock, contact your nearest dealer for additional information. If you install the product on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe personal injury.

When installing a wall mount kit, Samsung recommends you fasten all four VESA screws. If you want to install a wall mount kit that attaches to the wall using two top screws only, be sure to use a Samsung wall mount kit that supports this type of installation.

Do not use screws that are longer than the standard dimension or do not comply with the VESA standard screw specifications. Screws that are too long may cause damage to the inside of the product.

For wall mounts that do not comply with the VESA standard screw specifications, the length of the screws may differ depending on the wall mount specifications.

Do not fasten the screws too firmly. This may damage the product or cause the product to fall, leading to personal injury. Samsung is not liable for these kinds of accidents.

Always have at least two people mount televisions onto a wall. For 82-inch or larger models, have four or more people mount the television onto a wall.

Connect the brackets fixed to the product and the brackets fixed to the wall with a durable, heavy-duty string, and then tie the string tightly.

Do not mount the television at more than a 15-degree tilt.

Connect the string so that the brackets fixed to the wall are at the same height as or lower than the brackets fixed to the product.

You can prevent the television from falling by:

    1. Using the appropriate screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the wall. Confirm that the screws are firmly attached to the wall. You may need additional material such as wall anchors depending on the type of wall.

    2. Using the appropriately sized screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the television. For the screw specifications, refer to the standard screw part in the table in the Unpacking and Installation guide.
    Caution
Failure to take these safety precautions may cause the product to fall from the stand or mounting equipment, causing damage or serious injury. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking these simple precautions.

    PROPER VENTILATION

When you install a television and One Connect Box, maintain a distance of at least 4 inches (10 cm) between the television and One Connect Box with other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Failing to maintain proper ventilation may result in a fire or a problem with the product caused by an increase in its internal temperature.

Do not place the product in a rack or bookcase. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation and that you've followed the manufacturer's instructions for mounting and installation.

Slots and openings are provided for necessary ventilation. They must never be blocked or covered.

Install soundbars horizontally, on a suitable base, shelf, or mantel with enough space around it for ventilation.

    CARING FOR YOUR PRODUCT

To clean the product, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wipe the product with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any chemicals such as wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents. These chemicals can damage the appearance of the television or erase the printing on the product.

The exterior and screen of the product can get scratched during cleaning. Be sure to wipe the exterior and screen carefully using a soft cloth to prevent scratches.

Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the product. Any liquid that goes into the product may cause a failure, fire, or electric shock.

    INTERNET SECURITY

Samsung takes a number of steps to protect its Internet-compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized incursions and hacking. For example, certain sensitive communications between the television and the Internet servers are encrypted. In addition, the television operating system has adopted controls to prevent the installation of unauthorized applications.

Although we take steps to protect your Smart TV and personal information, no Internet-connected device or transmission is completely secure. We, therefore, encourage you to take additional steps to safeguard your television, secure your Internet connection, and minimize the risk of unauthorized access. These steps are listed below:

When Samsung releases software updates to improve the security of your television, you should promptly install these updates. To automatically receive these updates, turn on Auto Update in the television's menu ( > (left directional button) > Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update). When an update is available, a popup message appears on the television screen. Read any messages or instructions accompanying the update. Accept the software download and update by selecting Yes when prompted. Take steps to secure your wireless access point and network.

To further secure your television implement the following measures:

Secure your wireless access point's management settings with a unique password to prevent unauthorized changes to security-related settings.

Implement standard encryption (e.g., WPA2 encryption) on your wireless access point to secure your wireless network signal.

Secure access to your wireless network and internet accounts with a hard-to-guess password.

Confirm your access point's firewall setting is enabled (if applicable).

Confirm your access point's firewall setting is enabled and make sure that all your Internet-connected devices are behind your network's firewall.

If your access point or modem has a standby mode button, use it to disconnect your home network from the Internet when it is not in use.

If any unexpected messages appear on your television screen requesting permission to link a device or enable a remote session, do NOT accept them.

Do not visit suspicious websites and do not install any suspicious programs. We recommend that users install only those authorized apps provided by Samsung through Samsung Smart Hub.

    DECREASING POWER CONSUMPTION

When you shut the television off, it enters Standby mode. In Standby mode, it continues to draw a small amount of power. To decrease power consumption, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when you don't intend to use the television for a long time.

CONNECTING THE TELEVISION TO THE ONE CONNECT BOX

    • Do not use the One Connect Box in the upside-down or upright position.

    • The One Invisible Connection contains a power circuit, so take care not to subject the cable to any of the actions below:
