LIMITED WARRANTY TO ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE AND/OR PROOF OF DELIVERY

This SAMSUNG brand product, as supplied and distributed by SAMSUNG and delivered new, in the original carton to the original consumer purchaser, is warranted by SAMSUNG against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the following limited warranty periods:

This limited warranty begins on the date of delivery to the original consumer purchaser and is valid only on products purchased and used in the United States. To receive warranty service, the purchaser must contact SAMSUNG for problem determination and service procedures.

Warranty service can only be performed by a SAMSUNG authorized service center. The original dated bill of sale and/or proof of delivery must be presented upon request to SAMSUNG or SAMSUNG's authorized service center.

This limited warranty is valid only on products purchased and used in the United States that have been installed, operated, and maintained according to the instructions attached to or furnished with the product. To receive warranty service, the purchaser must contact SAMSUNG at the address or phone number provided below for problem determination and service procedures.

Your product’s warranty may include coverage for parts and components not listed above or may provide additional exclusions or limitations. EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO ONE YEAR OR THE SHORTEST PERIOD ALLOWED BY LAW. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS PRODUCT REPAIR, PRODUCT REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE AT SAMSUNG’S OPTION, AS PROVIDED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. SAMSUNG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TIME AWAY FROM WORK, HOTELS AND/OR RESTAURANT MEALS, REMODELING EXPENSES, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED, AND EVEN IF SAMSUNG HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Electric and fire safety

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons when using your appliance, please follow these precautions:

• Do not use a loose wall electrical outlet and make sure that the power plug is securely fitted into the electrical outlet.
  
  
• Unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet before servicing or replacing parts and do not operate the appliance or touch the power plug with wet hands.
  
  
• Do not use a power cord that doesn’t meet the specifications provided by Samsung.
  
  
• Do not use a power cord that has cracks or abrasions or is otherwise damaged and make sure to not excessively bend, twist, or tie the power cord in a knot.
  
  
• When unplugging the power cord, pull the plug rather than the cord. Always grip the plug firmly and pull it straight out of the electrical outlet.
  
  
• Do not extend the power cord, or use a multi-socket with other products. Only connect to an electrical outlet that can provide the rated power supply. Do not use a voltage converter or fail to meet the exact recommended voltage, frequency, and/or rated current.
  
  
• Do not loop the power cord around a metal object, place a heavy object on the power cord, insert the power cord tightly between objects, or force the power cord into the space behind the appliance.
  
  
• When positioning the appliance, use caution to avoid trapping, crushing, or damaging the power cord. If the cord is damaged, please contact the manufacturer or an authorized service agent for a replacement at https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/.
  
  
• The electrical outlet must be easily accessible so that the appliance can be quickly disconnected from the electrical outlet in an emergency.
  
  
• Do not turn the appliance off by unplugging the power plug while an operation is in progress. Wait until the operation has been completed to make sure that you do not cause a spark that could result in an electric shock or a fire.
  
  
• The use of an electrical outlet with a ground fault interrupter (GFI) is not recommended.
  
  
• Never start up an appliance showing any signs of damage. If in doubt, consult your dealer.
  
  
• Do not plug several appliances into the same multiple power strip.
  
  
• Since a high voltage current enters the product chassis, any damage may result in electric shock or fire. When a repair is needed, contact your nearest Samsung service center.
  
  
• If splits or cracks appear or your appliance malfunctions, produces a strange noise, a burning smell, or smoke, immediately stop usage, unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet if you can safely do so, and contact your nearest Samsung service center.
  
  
• If any foreign substance or liquid has entered the appliance, unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet if you can safely do so, and contact your nearest Samsung service center.
  
  
• To avoid fire and/or severe injuries, do not stand, step, or place objects such as laundry, candles, burning cigarettes, plates, medicine, or metal items on the product.
  
  
• Do not use a hair dryer to dry the inside of the appliance.  Do not use a candle air freshener or anything that is not specifically approved for washing machines to remove bad odor.
  
  
• Do not hit the product with excessive force, pull or press on front panels forcefully, and do not insert any metal objects beyond normal use inside the appliance.
  
  
• If the power plug gets wet, completely dry it before using the appliance again.

Gas Safety

• If there is a gas leakage (e.g., city gas or propane gas) in the location where the product is used, do NOT touch the product or power cord. Immediately open the windows to ventilate the location, and then contact the gas service provider's agent or a qualified technical expert for assistance. Do not turn the ventilation fan on.
  
  
• Because a spark can cause an explosion or fire, gas suppliers recommend you purchase and install a UL-approved gas detector.
  
  
• Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids near this or any other appliance. Do not use or place any substances sensitive to temperatures such as flammable sprays, flammable objects, dry ice, medicine, or chemicals near or inside the refrigerator.
  
  
• Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot-water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using the dishwasher turn on all hot-water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.

Installation safety

To safely install your appliance, please follow these precautions:

• Failure to properly install your appliance may result in electric shock, fire, an explosion, problems with the product, or injury. Do not use the appliance until it is correctly installed. If you have a gas appliance, it must be installed by a qualified technician, service company, or gas supplier according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes.
  
  
• Always disconnect the power to the appliance before servicing by unplugging it from the electrical outlet, removing the fuse, or switching off the circuit breaker. Never connect it to an ungrounded outlet or plug the power cord into a receptacle that is not grounded adequately or not in accordance with local and national codes. See the installation instructions for information about grounding your appliance.
  
  
• Make sure the power plug is plugged directly into the wall-mounted electrical outlet and can be easily removed. Plug the power plug into the electrical outlet so that the cord is running towards the floor to limit strain on the cord, and do not use an extension cord.
  
  
• Do not use an extension cord or cut or remove the ground prong from the power cord under any circumstances. Sharing a wall socket with other appliances, using a power strip, or extending the power cord may result in electric shock or fire.
  
  
• Do not install in a location where gas may leak, or near a heater or flammable material.
  
  
• Do not strike or apply excessive force to any glass surface. Broken glass may result in injury and/or property damage.
  
  
• Do not install or store your appliance where it will be exposed to the weather, in a humid, oily, or dusty location, or in a location exposed to direct sunlight or rain drops.
  
  
• Some appliances are extremely heavy so take care when lifting, and do not attempt to move or carry these appliances by yourself. Two or more people may be required to move and avoid potential injuries.
  
  
• Most Samsung washers and dryers can be stacked to maximize usable space. The dryer feet need to be removed to stack the washer and dryer. You can purchase an optional stacking kit from your Samsung retailer.
  
  
• Install your appliance on a solid, level floor that can support its weight. Failure to do so may result in abnormal vibrations, movement, noise, or problems with the product. Do not ground the appliance to a gas pipe, plastic water pipe, telephone line other potential lightning attractors. See the installation instructions for information about grounding your appliance.
  
  
• Repairs carried out by unqualified individuals may cause injury or a serious malfunction. Unauthorized modifications or repairs can cause safety issues and resulting damage may not be covered by the Samsung Limited Warranty.  Damage caused by any changes or modifications performed by a 3rd party not authorized by Samsung on this appliance may not be covered under the Samsung Limited Warranty, nor is Samsung responsible for safety issues that result from unauthorized 3rd party modifications. The product is intended for a normal household, noncommercial use. If the product is used for non-intended purposes, no responsibility can be attributed to Samsung for malfunctions or damages resulting from such use.
  
  
• Self-repairs. Performing your own repair presents a risk to yourself and your product; damage caused by your repair may not be covered by the Samsung Limited Warranty. Under Samsung’s Limited Warranty for your device, if your self-repair is determined to be the cause of a defect or damage to your product, a subsequent repair to fix such defect or damage will not be covered by the warranty. If you choose to have the repairs made, you will be charged for repair services and parts. You understand that your self-repair may affect the device's features and functionality. You understand that Samsung is not responsible for any defect or damage resulting from your self-repair. You can make an appointment to bring your product to a Samsung-certified repair center for a no-cost diagnostics test after your self-repair, or arrange for an onsite inspection, for informational purposes only. If a subsequent repair is required, a Samsung-certified technician will make a warranty determination based on a thorough inspection of the product, which may include inspecting all internal components. If the damage or defect is not covered by the warranty, you may be charged for any onsite inspection, and you can choose to have the repairs made and you will be charged for repair services and parts.
  
  
• If the product is equipped with LED lamps, do not disassemble the Lamp Covers and LED lamps yourself. Contact a Samsung service center.
  
  
• Be sure to remove all the protective plastic film before you initially plug the product in.
  
  
• Flush-mounted appliances may be operated only after they have been installed in cabinets and workplaces that conform to the relevant standards. This ensures that the appliances are installed in compliance with the appropriate safety standards.
  
  
• It is recommended that you safely unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet when the appliance is not being used for extended periods of time.

Safety of adults, children, and pets

Please take special care and follow these guidelines to ensure the safety of adults, children, and pets:

• To prevent death or personal injury by entrapment, do not allow babies, children, or pets to climb onto, or hang from drawers or shelves. Do not place any objects near the appliance or store articles on the top of the appliance, in cabinets above the range, or on the back guard of the appliance as children may use them to climb onto the product.
  
  
• Keep all plastic and packaging material well out of the reach of children to prevent injury or suffocation.
  
  
• Beware of sharp edges that may cause personal injury and take care not to hurt yourself when cleaning the appliance (externally or internally).
  
  
• Do not insert fingers, foreign substances, or metal objects, such as pins or needles into inlets, outlets, panels, or holes. If foreign substances are inserted into any of these areas, contact your product provider or the nearest Samsung service center.
  
  
• Do not sit on top of the appliance, or allow children and/or pets to do so.
  
  
• Do not enter the appliance, or allow pets and/or children to do so.
  
  
• Never leave children alone or unattended in an area where an appliance is in use. Do not allow children or pets to play with the controls or any other part of the appliance.
  
  
• During self-cleaning, the surfaces may get hotter than usual. Keep small children away from appliances when in self-cleaning mode.

Discard and recycle instructions

To safely discard and recycle your appliance, please follow these precautions:

• Please dispose of the packaging material from your product in an environmentally friendly manner. If you decide to dispose of your appliance, please observe local waste disposal regulations.
  
  
• Gasses such as Cyclopentane can be used in the insulation material and require a special disposal procedure. Please contact your local authorities in regard to the environmentally safe disposal of this product.
  
  
• Before you throw away your old appliance, remove the doors and lids. Also, ensure none of the pipes are damaged prior to disposal and cut the power cord so the appliance cannot be connected to a power source. Please leave shelves in place to prevent children or animals from climbing or becoming trapped inside. To reduce the risk of tipping over, place the device open-side down on a flat surface or brace appliance.

Cleaning and maintenance instructions

To safely clean and maintain your appliance, please follow these precautions:

• Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by unsupervised children.
  
  
• For your safety, do not use high-pressure water cleaners or steam jet cleaners to clean any part of the appliance.
  
  
• Do not use a wet or damp cloth when cleaning the plug. Instead, use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the power plug and the contact area to keep them free from dust, water, and other undesirable substances.
  
  
• Do not apply water, benzene, paint thinner, alcohol, acetone, or similar substances directly on the product, and make sure not to use abrasive or harsh cleansers such as window sprays, scouring cleansers, flammable fluids, muriatic acid, cleaning waxes, concentrated detergents, bleaches, insecticide, or cleansers containing petroleum products on exterior surfaces (doors and cabinet), plastic parts, door, and interior liners, and gaskets. Read and follow all instructions and warnings on the cleaning labels.
  
  
• Be sure to cut off all power sources before any other maintenance work. Before connecting power after maintenance, be sure to confirm that the product is assembled completely.

Air purifier

To safely operate your air purifier, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do not submerge the air purifier in water or other substances for cleaning.
  
  
• Do not install the air purifier near a heat source, flammable objects, areas where pets eat or defecate, or areas that are highly humid or dusty. Avoid exposure to oil, gasoline, direct sunlight, and water.
  
  
• To avoid malfunction or noise, do not place a heavy object on the air purifier and keep at least 7 feet away from a TV or other audio/visual media.
  
  
• Do not tilt or flip the air purifier while the power plug is connected to the electrical outlet.
  
  
• Do not use spray products on the air purifier.
  
  
• Only use the standard-rated fuse.
  
  
• Do not insert your finger or other objects into the air inlet or outlet and make sure the inlet/outlet is not covered.
  
  
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the electrical outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  
  
• To ensure efficient air intake and proper purification, keep the air purifier a safe distance from surrounding objects.
  
  
• Remove the power plug of your air purifier from the electrical outlet when it is not used for an extended period of time.
  
  
• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this product with any solid-state speed control device, dimmer switch, or rheostat.
  
  
• Operate the air purifier at least 24 inches from both sides of the product, at least 10 inches from the product inlet, and at least 39 inches from the product outlet. The product is designed to intake and purify polluted air. If there is any obstacle in the vicinity, the purification capacity may decrease.
  
  
• Wear a mask while changing used filters and wash your hands after changing used filters. Before using the consumable filters for the first time or a new filter for replacement, be sure to remove the plastic packaging from the filters. To detach a filter, first, be sure to remove the power plug.
  
  
• Do NOT use types of filters other than those originally supplied with the product. When purchasing a filter for replacement, be sure to confirm that it is the same type as the filter originally supplied with the product. The pet deodorization filter and dust-collecting filter cannot be reused by washing them with water.
  
  
• The filter replacement reminder lamp illuminates when the maximum filter use duration is reached, based on the device's uptime. Therefore, the filter replacement cycle may vary depending on the environment in which the device is used. If the device is used 24 hours every day, the pet deodorization filter and dust collecting filter can be used for 6 months to a maximum of 1 year. Filter lifespan depends on the air pollution level. The lifespan can decrease depending on the environment in which the device is used, the number of absorbed pollutants, and how often the device is used. If the filters are contaminated severely, some unpleasant smell comes from the device or the fan speed is considerably lower than before, replace them with new filters, even if the filter replacement reminder lamp does not illuminate.
  
  
• When washing the pre-filters, do not rub with a brush or any other similar tool. The superfine fibers may become damaged. When washing the pet mesh filter, use lukewarm water or water colder than 25℃/77°F. If you use water hotter than 40℃/104°F, the filter exterior may deform. Keep the filters in the shade until fully dry, avoiding exposure to direct sunlight. The pet mesh filter is a consumable component. If you wash or clean it for reuse, the filter exterior may deform or become damaged. If the exterior of a filter has deformed or become damaged, use a spare new filter or purchase one to replace the filter.
  
  
• Keep the doors and windows closed when the product is operating if circumstances allow. Note that the concentration of carbon dioxide increases if the product is used with the doors and windows closed for an extended period of time. Ventilate the room regularly. Some subtle smells present in the filters can also be reduced by ventilating the room. When using the device for the first time after purchase, you may experience some subtle odors from the unused filters. This will disappear naturally after using the device for a day or two. If the device has not been used for more than two weeks or some unpleasant smell comes from the device, operate the device in high fan speed mode in a well-ventilated location for more than 4 hours. Alternatively, dry the filters in the sun for at least 4 hours This can help reduce odors present in the filters.
  
  
• Carbon monoxide (CO) is a major harmful gas that cannot be removed by the pet deodorization filter. This gas usually flows in from the outdoors.
  
  
• Particulate matter concentrations can be affected by the environmental conditions in which the device is used (e.g., there is a construction site or road nearby, the device is used near a fabric sofa, a vacuum cleaner is used or bedding/clothes are arranged around the device).
  
  
• This product qualifies for ENERGY STAR. If you change the factory default setting or enable other features, power consumption could increase and exceed the limits qualified for ENERGY STAR.
  
  
• The energy efficiency of this ENERGY STAR certified model is measured based on a ratio between the model's CADR for smoke and the electrical energy it consumes, or CADR/Watt.

Dryer

To safely operate your dryer, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do not access internal parts of the device for anything other than what’s described in the user manual.
  
  
• Clean the lint screen before or after each load. Keep the area around the exhaust opening and surrounding areas free from lint, dust, and dirt. The interior of the appliance and exhaust duct should be cleaned periodically by qualified service personnel.
  
  
• Do not install a booster fan in the exhaust duct.
  
  
• Do not reach into the appliance if the drum is moving.
  
  
• Make sure to exhaust the dryer outdoors to reduce the risk of fire.
  
  
• Place the dryer at least 18 in. (460 mm) above the floor for a garage installation.
  
  
• Do not spray water directly onto the control panel. This may cause a system failure.
  
  
• Do not dry clothing with large buckles, buttons, or other heavy metal or solid objects – and ensure pockets are free of small, irregularly shaped objects and foreign material such as coins, tissues, and pins.
  
  
• Unless recommended on the label, do not dry woolen or fiberglass items such as curtains or draperies.
  
  
• The door glass becomes hot during drying so do not touch the door glass, or allow children to play around the dryer or touch door glass. This may result in burns.
  
  
• Make sure to unpack the drying rack before using it. Otherwise, the dryer can be damaged or its performance diminished.
  
  
• Do not install other fuel-burning appliances around or in the same place as the dryer. If both the washer and the dryer are installed in the same location, the front of the alcove or closet must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72 in.² (465 cm²).
  
  
• The control board and inlet valve are intentionally not grounded and may present a risk of electric shock only during servicing. Do not contact these parts while the appliance is plugged into an electric outlet.
  
  
• Do not hit the product with excessive force, pull or press on front panels forcefully and do not insert any metal objects beyond normal use inside the appliance.
  
  
• Items containing foam rubber (which may be labeled latex foam) or similarly textured rubberlike materials must not be dried in a heat setting. Heated foam rubber materials can, under certain circumstances, ignite spontaneously.
  
  
• Do not install a clothes dryer with flexible plastic venting materials. If flexible metal (foil type) duct is installed, it must be of a specific type identified by the appliance manufacturer as suitable for use with clothes dryers. Flexible venting materials are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint. These conditions will obstruct clothes dryer airflow and increase the risk of fire.
  
  
• Certain internal parts are intentionally not grounded and may present a risk of electric shock only during servicing. Do not contact the control board and inlet valve while the appliance is plugged in.
  
  
• The Water Temperature table lists appropriate wash water temperatures for various items. The temperature range is 106-126 °F (41-52 °C) for Hot, 84-106 °F (29-41 °C) for Warm, and 61-84 °F (16-29 °C) for Cold. (Wash water temperature must be a minimum of 61 °F (16 °C) for detergent activation and effective cleaning.)
  
  
• Do not dry items that have been previously cleaned, washed, soaked, or spotted with gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, kerosene, benzene, paint thinner, alcohol, or other flammable or explosive substances. They emit vapors that could ignite or explode. Any material that has been in contact with a cleaning solvent or flammable liquids or solids should not be placed in the dryer until all traces of these flammable liquids or solids and their fumes have been removed. There are many highly flammable items used in homes, such as acetone, denatured alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, some liquid household cleaners, some spot removers, turpentine, waxes, and wax removers.
  
  
• Do not place items in your dryer that have been spotted or soaked with vegetable oil or cooking oil. Even after being washed, these items may contain significant amounts of these oils. Residual oil on clothing can ignite spontaneously. The potential for spontaneous combustion increases when items containing vegetable oil or cooking oil are exposed to heat. Never remove these items from the dryer hot or interrupt the drying cycle until the items have run through the Cool Down cycle. Never pile or stack these items when they are hot.

Electric Range, Wall Oven, and Cooktops

To safely operate, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do not step, lean, or sit on the doors of the range. You can cause the range to tip, resulting in burns or serious injuries. To reduce the risk of tipping the range, the range must be secured by a properly installed Anti-Tip device. After the range has been installed, confirm that the anti-tip device has been properly installed and verify that the anti-tip device is properly engaged. Failure to install the Anti-Tip device could result in injury or death. Verify that it has been engaged at the rear right or rear left of the range bottom. If you move the range and then move it back into place, ensure the Anti-Tip device is re-engaged at the right or left rear of the range bottom. To verify that the Anti-Tip device is engaged, grasp the top rear edge of the range and carefully attempt to tilt it forward. The Anti-Tip device should prevent the range from tilting forward more than a few inches. Refer to the installation manual for instructions.
  
  
• Never completely remove the leveling legs. If you remove the leveling legs, the range will not be secured to the Anti-Tip device properly.
  
  
• Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room.
  
  
• Do not use water on grease fires. Turn off the oven to avoid spreading the flames. Smother the fire or flames by closing the door or using a dry chemical, baking soda, or foam-type extinguisher.
  
  
• Avoid scratching or striking the glass doors, the cooktop, or the control panel. Doing so may lead to glass breakage. Do not cook on a product with broken glass. Shock, fire, or cuts may occur.
  
  
• If there is a fire in the oven during self-cleaning, turn the oven off and wait for the fire to go out. Do not force the door open. The introduction of fresh air at self-cleaning temperatures may lead to a burst of flame from the oven. Failure to follow these instructions may result in severe burns.
  
  
• If the oven is heavily soiled with oil, self-clean the oven before using the oven again. Leaving the oil in place creates a risk of fire. Wipe up heavy soil on the oven bottom with a paper towel or rag before self-cleaning. Self-cleaning the oven, when there is heavy soil on the oven's bottom, requires longer cleaning cycles and produces more smoke.
  
  
• Do not store flammable materials in the oven or near the surface units. Be sure all packing materials are removed from the appliance before operating it. Keep plastics, clothes, and paper away from parts of the appliance that may become hot.
  
  
• Never wear loose-fitting or hanging garments while using the appliance. Use only dry potholders. Placing moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam.
  
  
• Never leave surface units unattended at high heat settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
  
  
• Do not use aluminum foil or protective Liners to line surface unit drip bowls or oven bottoms, except as suggested in the manual. Improper installation of these liners may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
  
  
• To avoid oil spillover and fire, use a minimum amount of oil when shallow pan-frying and avoid cooking frozen foods that have excessive amounts of ice.
  
  
• Do not lift the cooktop. Lifting the cooktop can damage the range and cause the range to malfunction.
  
  
• Never use the glass cooktop surface as a cutting board. The glass surface of the cooktop will retain heat after the controls have been turned off. Be careful when placing spoons or other stirring utensils on the glass cooktop surface when it is in use. They may become hot and could cause burns. When placing oven racks in the desired location make sure the oven is cool. If the rack must be moved while the oven is hot, use potholders. Do not let the potholders come in contact with the hot heating element in the oven.
  
  
• Use proper pan sizes. This appliance is equipped with surface units of different sizes. Select pots and pans that have flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface area of the heating element. Using undersized cookware will expose a portion of the heating element to direct contact and may result in the ignition of clothing. Cookware handles should be turned inward and not extended over adjacent surface units to reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, or spillage due to unintentional contact with cookware. Position cookware handles so that they are turned inward and do not extend over adjacent surface units.
  
  
• Only certain types of glass, glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed cookware can be used for range-top service without breaking due to sudden changes in temperature. Use only cookware and dishes recommended as safe for oven and cooktop use.
  
  
• Always turn the surface units off before removing cookware. When preparing flaming foods under the hood, turn the fan on. Keep an eye on foods being fried at high or medium-high heat settings.
  
  
• Do not use decorative surface element covers. If an element is accidentally turned on, the decorative cover will become hot and possibly melt. Burns will occur if the hot covers are touched, and damage may also be done to the cooktop.
  
  
• Ensure that the appliance is switched off before replacing the lamp to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
  
  
• Heating elements may be hot even though they are dark in color. The interior surfaces of an oven become hot enough to cause burns. During and after use, do not touch or let clothing or other flammable materials contact the heating elements or interior surfaces of the oven until they have had sufficient time to cool. Other surfaces of the appliance may become hot enough to cause burns. Among these surfaces are oven vent openings and surfaces near these openings, the oven door, and the window of the oven door.
  
  
• Never heat plastic or paper containers and do not use them for cooking.
  
  
• Do not attempt to operate the oven during a power failure. If the power fails, always turn the oven off. If the oven is not turned off and the power returns, the oven may begin to operate again. Food left unattended could catch fire or spoil.
  
  
• The door gasket is essential for a good seal, so do not attempt to clean it. Care should be taken not to rub, damage, or move the gasket.
  
  
• Never keep pet birds in the kitchen, and especially do not keep them in the oven. Birds are extremely sensitive to the fumes released during an oven self-clean cycle that may be harmful or fatal to birds. Move birds to a well-ventilated room.
  
  
• Do not use any commercial oven cleaner or oven liner protective coating of any kind in or on the outside of the oven.
  
  
• Remove the nickel oven shelves from the oven before you begin the self-cleaning cycle or they may discolor.
  
  
• If a wet sponge or cloth is used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to avoid steam burns. Some cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface.
  
  
• If materials inside the oven should ignite, keep the oven door closed, turn the oven off and safely disconnect the power cord, or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel. If the door is opened, the fire may spread.
  
  
• Always observe safety precautions when using your oven. Never try to repair the oven on your own - there is dangerous voltage inside. If the oven needs to be repaired, contact an authorized Samsung service center near you.
  
  
• Wait at least 30 seconds after heating before removing heated liquids from the range. Take care when removing the wrapping from the food taken out of the appliance. If the food is hot, hot steam may be emitted abruptly when you remove the wrapping and this may result in burns.
  
  
• Never use this appliance for purposes other than cooking. Using the appliance for any purpose other than cooking may result in a fire.
  
  
• Food may be very hot during or immediately after cooking, so take appropriate measures when handling it to avoid burning yourself.
  
  
• The handle and oven surfaces may be hot enough to cause burns after cooking, so use an oven mitt or similar item to protect your hands from burns.
  
  
• Take care as beverages or food may be very hot after heating, especially when feeding a child. Check that it has cooled sufficiently and take care when heating liquids, such as water or other beverages.
  
  
• Make sure to stir during or after cooking. Failing to do so may result in an abrupt overflow of the contents and cause burns.
  
  
• Do not abruptly cool the door, the inside of the appliance, or a dish by pouring water over it during or just after cooking. This may result in damage to the appliance. The steam or water spray may result in burns or injury.
  
  
• Do not overheat food. Overheating food may result in a fire.
  
  
• Do not use sealed containers. Remove seals and lids before cooking. Sealed containers can explode due to the buildup of pressure even after the oven has been turned off.
  
  
• Take care that the food you are cooking in the oven does not come into contact with the heating element. This may result in fire. Keep the inside of the oven clean. Food particles or spattered oils stuck to the oven walls or floor can cause paint damage and reduce the efficiency of the oven.
  
  
• Clean the oven thoroughly before using it for the first time. Then, remove the accessories, set the oven to bake, and then run the oven at 400 °F for 1 hour. There will be a distinctive odor. This is normal. Ensure your kitchen is well-ventilated during this conditioning period.
  
  
• Do not place aluminum foil or plastic items, such as salt and pepper shakers, spoon holders, or plastic wrappings on the range when it is in use. The hot air from the vent could melt plastics or ignite flammable items.
  
  
• Make sure the correct surface unit is turned on and always place the pan in the center of the surface unit you are cooking on. Never cook directly on the glass. Always use cookware.
  
  
• Be sure you turn the control knob to OFF when you finish cooking. Do not warm food in the warming center for more than two hours.

Washing Machine

To safely operate your washing machine, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do not tamper with controls and do not reach into the appliance if the drum is moving.
  
  
• Ensure that the voltage, frequency, and current supplied to the washer match those listed in the product specifications. Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire. Plug the power plug into the wall socket firmly.
  
  
• Do not install the washing machine in a location exposed to low temperatures. Frost may cause the tubes to burst.
  
  
• This appliance should be positioned so that the power plug, the water supply taps, and the drain pipes are accessible.
  
  
• If the washing machine is flooded, turn off the water & power supplies immediately and contact your nearest service center.
  
  
• Do not open the washer door by force while it is operating (high-temperature washing/drying/spinning).
  
  
• Water flowing out of the washer may result in burns or cause the floor to be slippery. This may result in injury.
  
  
• Do not insert your hand or objects under the washer while an operation is in progress, this may result in injury.
  
  
• Do not use a fuse (such as copper, steel wire, etc.) other than a standard fuse.
  If the water supply hose comes loose from the faucet and floods the appliance, unplug the power plug. Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire.
  
  
• If the washer is contaminated by a foreign substance such as detergent, dirt, food waste, etc., unplug the power plug and clean the washer using a damp, soft cloth. Failure to do so may result in discoloration, deformation, damage, or rust.
  
  
• The front glass may be broken by a strong impact. Take care when using the washer. If the glass is broken, it may result in a water leak or injury.
  
  
• Open the faucet and check if the water supply hose connectors are firmly tightened and that there are no water leaks before using the product, when there is a water supply failure, or when reconnecting the water hose. If the connectors on the water supply hoses are loose, it may result in a water leak.
  
  
• If a draining error occurs during an operation, check if there is a draining problem. If the washer is used when it is flooded because of a draining problem, it may result in electric shock or fire.
  
  
• Insert the laundry into the washer completely so that the laundry does not get caught in the door. If laundry gets caught in the door, it may result in damage to the laundry or the washer, or result in a water leak.
  
  
• Turn the water supply off when the washer is not being used. Ensure that the water supply hose connectors are properly tightened.
  
  
• The door glass becomes hot during washing so do not touch the door glass, or allow children to play around the washer or touch door glass. This may result in burns.
  
  
• Do not insert your hand into the detergent drawer. This may result in injury as your hand may be caught by the detergent input device.
  
  
• Do not use the liquid detergent container (on applicable models only) for powdered detergent. Remove the container and put powdered detergent directly into the Main wash compartment. Make sure to always return the detergent drawer to its location before starting the washer. This may result in electric shock or injury due to a water leak.
  
  
• Do not use dry cleaning detergent directly and do not wash, rinse, or spin laundry contaminated by dry cleaning detergent. This may result in spontaneous combustion or ignition due to the heat from the oxidation of the oil.
  
  
• Do not place any objects (such as shoes, food waste, or animals) other than laundry into the washer. This may result in damage to the washer, or injury and death in the case of pets.
  
  
• Do not wash laundry contaminated by oils, creams, or lotions usually found in skincare shops or massage clinics. This may cause the rubber seal to become deformed and result in a water leak.
  
  
• Do not leave metal objects such as safety pins, hairpins, or bleach in the drum for long periods of time, this may cause the drum to rust. If rust starts appearing on the surface of the drum, apply a (neutral) cleansing agent to the surface and use a sponge to clean it. Never use a metal brush.
  
  
• Do not place objects that generate electromagnetic fields near the washer. This may result in injury due to a malfunction.
  
  
• Water drained during a high-temperature wash or drying cycle is hot. Do not touch the water. This may result in burns or injury.
  
  
• Do not wash, spin, or dry water-proof seats, mats, or clothing including woolen or large bedding, rain covers, fishing vests, ski pants, sleeping bags, diaper covers, sweat suits, and bicycle, motorcycle, and car covers, etc. unless your appliance has a special cycle for washing these items. This may result in injury or damage to the washer, walls, floor, or clothing due to abnormal vibrations.
  
  
• Do not wash throw rugs or doormats with rubber backing. The rubber backing may come off and stick to inside the drum, and this may result in malfunction such as a drainage error.
  
  
• Do not use natural hand-washing soap for the washer. If it hardens and accumulates inside the washer, it may result in problems with the product, discoloration, rust, or bad odors.
  
  
• Certain internal parts are intentionally not grounded and may present a risk of electric shock only during servicing. Do not contact the control board and inlet valve while the appliance is plugged in.
  
  
• When you lay the washer down to remove the carton base, protect the side of the washer and lay it down carefully. Never lay your washer on its back or front.
  
  
• Do not grab or pull the drain hose to drag and move the product. Do not reuse old water hoses, which may leak or burst, causing flooding and/or property damage, and make sure rubber washers are inserted in each coupling of both water hoses.
  
  
• To ensure proper grounding, the washer comes with a power cord featuring a three-prong grounding plug for use in a properly installed and grounded outlet. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are not sure about the grounding. Do not modify the provided plug. If it does not fit the outlet, call a qualified electrician to install a proper outlet.
  
  
• In the absence of local codes, all wiring and grounding must be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-Latest Revision (for the U.S.) or the Canadian Electrical Code CSA C22.1 – Latest Revisions and local codes and ordinances. It is your responsibility to provide adequate electrical service for your washer.
  
  
• Before using the washer for the first time, check all connections at the water valve and taps for any leaks.
  
  
• If both the washer and the dryer are installed in the same location, the front of the alcove or closet must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72 in.2 (465 cm2).
  
  
• Allow 5 in. (127 mm) of space between the back of the washer and the wall to prevent water hoses from being kinked. Kinked hoses may cause water leaks or stoppage. Do not stretch the water hoses by force. If a hose is too short, replace the hose with a longer hose.
  
  
• If there is a water leak, stop using the washer and contact a local Samsung service center. A water leak may cause electric shock.
  
  
• Do not wash the laundry net by itself without another laundry. This may cause abnormal vibrations that could move the washer and result in injury.
  
  
• Use bleach carefully and be sure to follow the bleach manufacturer’s use and care instructions.
  
  
• If both the washer and the dryer are installed in the same location, the front of the alcove or closet must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72 in.² (465 cm²).
  
  
• Do not wash items that have been previously cleaned, washed, soaked, or spotted with gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, kerosene, benzene, paint thinner, alcohol, or other flammable or explosive substances. They emit vapors that could ignite or explode. Any material that has been in contact with a cleaning solvent or flammable liquids or solids should not be placed in the dryer until all traces of these flammable liquids or solids and their fumes have been removed. There are many highly flammable items used in homes, such as acetone, denatured alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, some liquid household cleaners, some spot removers, turpentine, waxes, and wax removers.
  
  
• Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for 2 weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using a washer or combination washer-dryer, turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.

Refrigerator

To safely operate your refrigerator, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit and connect to a potable water supply only.  Fill the water tank and ice cube trays with potable water only (tap water, mineral water, or purified water). Do not fill the tank with tea, juice, or a sports drink. They can damage the refrigerator.
  
  
• This appliance contains a small amount of isobutane refrigerant (R-600a), a natural gas with high environmental compatibility that is also flammable. Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance. Contact your local authorities regarding the safe disposal of this product.
  
  
• Refrigerant leaking from the pipe work could ignite or cause an eye injury.  If a leak is detected, avoid any sparks, naked flames, or potential sources of ignition and ventilate the room in which the appliance is standing for several minutes. To prevent the formation of a flammable gas-air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit develops, the size of the room in which the appliance may be placed must be 35.3 ft³ in size for every 8 g of R-600a refrigerant inside the appliance.
  
  
• New hose-sets supplied with the appliance are to be used; old hose sets should not be reused.
  
  
• Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
  
  
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process or electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
  
  
• When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged. When moving the refrigerator, be careful not to roll over or damage the power cord. This may result in an electric shock or fire.
  
  
• Deteriorated insulation on electrical parts may cause an electric shock or fire.
  
  
• Do not place this refrigerator in direct sunlight or expose it to the heat from stoves, room heaters, or other appliances. Do not install the refrigerator in a damp location or place where it may come in contact with water.
  
  
• The refrigerator should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the voltage listed on the refrigerator’s rating plate. This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading of house wiring circuits, which could overheat the wires and cause a fire hazard. Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the appliance. The marked rating of the extension cord should be AC 115-120 V, 10 A, or higher. If a grounding adapter is used, make sure the receptacle box is properly grounded.
  
  
• If large amounts of dust or water enter the refrigerator, disconnect the power plug and contact a Samsung Electronics service center.
  
  
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the snap rings used for door adjustment or the water tube clips. There is a risk of death by suffocation if a child swallows a snap ring or water tube clip. Keep the snap rings and water tube clips out of children's reach.
  
  
• Do not use any fuse (such as copper, steel wire, etc.) other than a standard fuse, which should only be installed by qualified personnel. Only a qualified technician or service company should change the fuse in the refrigerator. Failing to do so may result in an electric shock or personal injury.
  
  
• Allow sufficient space around the refrigerator and install it on a flat surface. Keep the ventilation space in the appliance enclosure or mounting structure clear of obstructions.
  
  
• It is strongly recommended you have a qualified technician or service company install the refrigerator and water supply. After you have installed the refrigerator and turned it on, allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours before loading it with food.
  
  
• When you open or close the door, the articles may fall and cause personal injury and/or material damage. Also, be cautious about overloading the doors as it may cause the refrigerator to fall.
  
  
• Do not touch the inside walls of the freezer or products stored in the freezer with wet hands. This may cause injury. Never put fingers or any objects into the water dispenser outlet, ice chute, or ice maker bucket. It may cause personal injury or material damage.
  
  
• Do not put an open container filled with water on the refrigerator. If spilled, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.
  
  
• Do not place or use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator/freezer, unless they are of a type recommended by the manufacturer.
  
  
• If the refrigerator is flooded, safely shut off the power to the refrigerator and contact your nearest Samsung service center. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.
  
  
• Do not overfill the refrigerator. When you open the door, an item may fall out and cause injury or damage.
  
  
• Never stare directly at the UV LED lamp for long periods of time. This may result in eye strain due to the ultraviolet rays. Use only the LED Lamps provided by the manufacturer or its service agents. If the interior or exterior LED lamp has gone out, contact your nearest Samsung service center.
  
  
• Do not put a shelf on the refrigerator upside down. The shelf stopper will not work. An improperly installed shelf could fall and cause injury or damage.
  
  
• Do not put filled glass containers or bottles or carbonated beverages into the freezer. The container may freeze and break, and this may result in injury or damage.
  
  
• Do not block the air vents inside the refrigerator. If the air vents are blocked, especially with a plastic bag, the refrigerator can be over-cooled. If a cooling period lasts too long, the water filter may break and cause water leakage.
  
  
• If the refrigerator is disconnected from the power supply, you should wait for at least five minutes before plugging it back in.
  
  
• Do not keep vegetable oil in your refrigerator’s door bins. The oil can solidify, making it foul-tasting and difficult to use. In addition, the open container can leak and the leaked oil can cause the door bin to crack.
  
  
• Use a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water to clean the refrigerator. Do not clean glass shelves or covers with warm water when they are cold. Glass shelves and covers may break if exposed to sudden temperature changes or impacts such as bumping or dropping.
  
  
• If you close a door forcefully, the other door may open. When a door is opened, the interlock switch automatically disables the auger motor of the ice maker for safety reasons.
  
  
• If your refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker, provide extra space at the rear of the refrigerator for the water line connection.
  
  
• When you install the refrigerator next to a fixed wall, you must provide a minimum clearance of 3 3/4" (95 mm) from the wall to allow the door to swing open. When installed, level the refrigerator on a flat, solid floor. Not leveling the refrigerator can cause damage to the refrigerator or injury. Leveling must be performed with the refrigerator empty. Make sure no food items are inside the refrigerator. For safety reasons, adjust the front a little higher than the rear.
  
  
• To facilitate moving your refrigerator to its final location, be sure to measure the width and height of doorways, thresholds, ceilings, stairways, and anything else that needs to be taken into consideration to ensure you can move your refrigerator safely.
  
  
• Do not remove both doors simultaneously. Make sure to remove one door at a time. Otherwise, one of the doors may fall and cause physical injury.
  
  
• Make sure both tubes of the water line are inserted fully into the center of the transparent coupler or the guidelines. To prevent water leaks from the dispenser, the water line must be fully connected.  Make sure the refrigerator is off before disconnecting the connectors.
  
  
• Refrigerant squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye injury. When refrigerant leaks from the pipe, avoid any sparks or open flames move anything flammable away from the product, and ventilate the room immediately. Failing to do so may result in fire or explosion.

Dishwasher

To safely operate your dishwasher, use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the Owner’s User Manual, and please follow these safety guidelines:

• Use only detergents or wetting agents recommended for use in a dishwasher and keep them out of the reach of children. Do not consume dishwasher detergent. Avoid breathing in detergent fumes. Dishwasher detergent contains irritants and caustic chemicals that can induce respiratory conditions. If you have consumed dishwasher detergent or inhaled detergent fumes, seek medical attention immediately. Avoid letting the detergent come into contact with your skin and eyes.
  
  
• When loading items to be washed, locate sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the door seal, and- load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of injuries.
  
  
• Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked “dishwasher safe” or the equivalent. For plastic items not so marked, check the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  
  
• Do not touch the HEATING ELEMENT during or immediately after use.
  
  
• Do not operate your dishwasher unless all ENCLOSURE panels are properly in place.
  
  
• Do not install the dishwasher near electrical components. Keep the dishwasher away from open flames. Install and level your dishwasher on an uncarpeted floor that can support its weight.
  
  
• After the dishwasher is installed, check that the drain hose is properly connected and that there is no leakage from the hose connectors. If the drain hose is loose, it may leak and cause property damage. The water supply line is susceptible to breakage. As time goes by, it becomes less flexible. Check the line periodically. If it is swollen, torn, or cut, or there is a water leak, replace it immediately.
  
  
• Do not put gasoline, solvents, or other flammable materials inside the dishwasher. Hand wash dishes exposed to these materials.
  
  
• If the dishwasher is left unused for an extended period of time, turn off the water supply.
  
  
• The dishwasher has electric parts inside. Do not sprinkle water directly onto the dishwasher. Protect electrical components from coming in contact with water.
