Google Books & Audiobooks
Just like with apps and movies, Google also has a huge collection of books available for download! Just go to the Google Books & Audiobooks app on your phone to find the next fantasy or romance series you’re gonna get hooked to.
And since your Google account is most likely already added to your Galaxy devices, it will be easy to access your downloaded books whether you’re laying in bed reading on your phone or if you’re studying something on your Chromebook for a big project. This app also has many audiobooks available if you prefer that!
Amazon Kindle
If you’re into digital books, you probably already have a Kindle at home. Well, it’s even better with the Kindle app, available on Galaxy phones, tablets, and Chromebooks. Remember when you forgot your Kindle reader at home that one time?
With the Kindle app, you can sync books from your Amazon account to your phone. In other words, you can finish the book you started on your Kindle device from your phone! Or, you can buy a new book through the app and read it instantly.
NOOK
Barnes & Noble has been selling books in their stores for a long time, and they also have their very own reading app called NOOK. Pretty much anything you can buy at the store you can also purchase and download onto your phone, tablet, or Chromebook.
The NOOK app makes it easy to navigate your collection, whether it’s made up of books, magazines, or comics. If you’re looking for something new to read, the B&N Readouts feature will give you recommendations based on your favorite genres.
The best settings to reduce eyestrain
Reading might be great for your mind, but it’s not always the best for your eyesight because it can cause fatigue. Luckily, your Galaxy devices come with settings that help give your eyes a rest. For example, the Eye Comfort Shield automatically turns on the phone’s or tablet’s blue light filter and adjusts the filter’s intensity based on your surroundings.
There are also Accessibility features and font settings that give you more options to reduce eyestrain. Your Galaxy Chromebook has some display settings that will make reading a little easier on your eyes as well.
