Use voice commands with your Galaxy Buds

You can perform certain actions while wearing your Galaxy Buds by simply speaking your command! Enabling voice commands with your buds will let you play music, adjust the volume, and answer incoming calls using your voice. If you’ve set up a voice assistant on your phone, such as Bixby, then your buds can use Bixby as well.

Voice commands and Bixby

Note
These options are available on the Galaxy Buds3, Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Buds2, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Buds Pro.

When voice commands are set up in the Galaxy Wearable app, all you need to do is touch and hold your buds to launch your preferred voice assistant. Your buds’ voice assistant will match the assistant on your connected phone. This may be Bixby or Google Assistant, depending on your choice.

However, if you’re using Bixby on your phone, you can turn on the voice wake-up option for Bixby in the Galaxy Wearable app.

  1. Navigate to and open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone, and then tap Earbuds settings.
  2. Tap Bixby voice wake-up.
