Exclusive new workout features
The Galaxy Watch Ultra includes many new exercise features to help you launch, track, and monitor your workouts your way.
- Multisport tile - Customize this tile by choosing your three preferred exercises, and set individual targets for each exercise. Once you set it up, you can start your own personal triathlon with a simple tap.
- Swim deeper - The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a water resistance rating of 10 ATM/IP68, allowing you to dive and swim deeper than with other Galaxy watches.
- The Quick button - This is a new addition only on the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It lets you customize the action, which could include quickly starting your favorite exercise. Please see the Quick button section in this article for more information.
- GPX Routes - In addition to the hiking and biking compatibility from previous modes, the Galaxy Watch Ultra also supports GPX routes for running and walking.
- Night Vision watch faces - The new night vision watch faces with anti-glare will keep the screen lit and visible so working out is a breeze, day or night.
Daily AI Companion
The Galaxy Watch Ultra’s daily AI companion will keep you feeling healthy with its personalized wellness programs. These include your energy score, sleep analysis, sleep apnea monitoring, and workout comparisons.
Your energy score is a comprehensive health analysis designed to help you understand your daily wellbeing. Workout comparisons allow you to race against your past self by selecting one of your running or cycling records from the previous two weeks.
The AI companion will also provide you with conversation suggestions when replying to messages. To use a Smart Reply suggestion, just swipe up on a conversation, tap your desired reply, and send the message.
Additionally, you can use the Galaxy Watch Ultra to record in-person conversations, and then use AI on your connected phone to view a text transcript.
Battery life and durability
Meant for outdoor use, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is very durable. It's made from aerospace-grade titanium materials and includes our largest watch battery.
- Water resistance rating - 10ATM, IP68
- Dust resistance rating - IP68
- Battery - 590mAh, which will give you up to 100 hours in Powersaving mode.
Additionally, the watch’s battery life can be extended while you’re working out with exercise power saving mode, which provides up to 48 hours of additional battery.
The all new Quick button
The new Quick button lets you quickly access your desired Samsung Health workouts or enable other features. In other words, the button can be programmed to your preferences! You can start a new workout of your choice, or opt to turn on the watch’s stopwatch, flashlight, or water lock mode. If desired, you can also set the button to do absolutely nothing to avoid accidental touches.
To program the Quick button using the Wearable app:
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone.
- With the Watch Ultra selected, tap Watch settings.
- Tap Buttons and gestures.
- At the top, you'll see a Quick button section. First, tap Action.
- Samsung Health is selected by default. To select what it does within Samsung health, tap the Settings icon on the right.
- From the list shown, tap the exercise you want the button to launch, and then tap OK.
- If you don't want to launch an exercise, choose from the Features list instead. The options are Stopwatch, Flashlight, Water lock, or
None. - Now navigate back to Buttons and gestures, and tap Start action with.
- Choose either short press or double press.
To program the Quick button directly on the watch:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Buttons and gestures.
- Tap Action.
- To choose an exercise or workout, tap the Settings icon next to Samsung Health.
- Select from the list, and then scroll to the bottom and tap OK.
- If you'd rather select a feature, choose either Stopwatch, Flashlight, Water lock, or None.
- Navigate back to Buttons and gestures, and then tap Start action with.
- Tap either Short press or Double press.
Emergency Siren
The Galaxy Watch Ultra's Quick button offers an optional siren feature. By pressing and holding the Quick button, a continuous high-pitched sound will be emitted. After 10 seconds, the volume increases and an Emergency SOS prompt appears on the screen, allowing you to dial 9-1-1 instantly. You can enable or disable this function using the Galaxy Wearable app on your paired device. If you'd rather, you can also adjust this setting directly on the watch itself. Instruction for both methods are below.
To manage the siren feature on a phone:
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on the connected phone.
- Tap Watch settings.
- Tap Buttons and gestures.
- Tap the switch next to Siren to turn it on or off.

- Scroll to, and tap Buttons and gestures.
- Tap the switch next to Siren to turn it on or off.
Improved call sound
Making and receiving calls with the Galaxy Watch Ultra is seamless, thanks to its improved dual microphone system that filters wind and reduces surrounding noise. The watch will automatically select the best microphone for audio as well, so you’ll always hear and be heard.
Parental controls
If your child wants to use the Galaxy Watch Ultra, you can set them up using the watch’s Kids mode. Kids mode monitors their watch usage so you’ll know when they are in school or in danger of viewing inappropriate content. This feature is available during initial set up. If you've already set up the watch, reset it, and then choose kids mode when setting up again.
Your child will be able to use the watch to make calls and send messages so they can contact you. Colorful and unique watch faces are available if your child would like to customize the watch.
