How to get sound out of your Samsung Gaming monitor

If your Samsung Gaming Monitor does not include built-in speakers, you can use external speakers to play audio. These types of speakers include soundbars and Sound Towers, as well as wireless speakers that can be connected to your monitor. You can also use Galaxy Buds!

How to get sound out of your Samsung Gaming monitor

Connect your monitor to a soundbar

Note

Not all Samsung Gaming Monitors support soundbar connectivity. The monitor must have an ARC HDMI input to allow for audio to be transmitted through the soundbar. Please check the monitor’s specifications and user manual to ensure ARC compatibility.

Connecting your Samsung Gaming Monitor to a Samsung soundbar will let you hear your game’s audio. Keep in mind that the following information only applies to gaming monitors with an ARC HDMI input.

Connect your soundbar using HDMI

Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your monitor. Connect the other end to the HDMI OUT port on your soundbar.
Press the Source button on the soundbar or its remote control until “HDMI” appears on the soundbar’s display.
Turn on the monitor and change its source to the HDMI port where the soundbar is connected.

Connect your soundbar using Bluetooth

Press the Pair button on the soundbar or its remote control and wait until “BT” appears on the soundbar’s display.
Once the soundbar is in Bluetooth pairing mode, pair it to your monitor by navigating to the Bluetooth settings menu. You may need to select Bluetooth Speaker List or Bluetooth Audio Device.

Connect your monitor to other audio devices

You can also connect to a Sound Tower or a pair of Galaxy Buds to play audio through your gaming monitor.

Sound Tower models

All three Samsung Sound Tower models include Group Play, Karaoke Mode, and Bluetooth Multi Connection functions. You can also control the music playback from your phone using the Sound Tower app. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
