How to wash sneakers and tennis shoes in your Samsung washing machine
Although you can wash tennis shoes and sneakers in a Samsung washing machine, it’s important to take some precautions to protect both your shoes and the appliance. The first thing you should check is the care label to make sure the shoes are machine washable. Only a few pairs of shoes should be washed at a time, and a gentle cycle should be used.
Note: The following steps apply to front load and top load washing machine models.
How to wash sneakers and tennis shoes in your Samsung washing machine
You can follow the steps below to clean your tennis shoes or sneakers in your Samsung washing machine.
Note: To prevent excessive noise and vibration, you can add a few towels or other soft items to the cycle.
- Remove the laces and inserts from the shoes. If possible, do not include the laces with the shoes in the washer.
- Place the shoes in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase to prevent them from causing damage to the washing machine tub.
Note: Avoid overloading the washing machine with too many shoes at once. It is best to wash only a couple of pairs at a time. - Add a small amount of mild detergent to the washing machine. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals.
- Use a gentle cycle, such as Delicates or Hand Wash, and a cold water setting.
- After the cycle, remove the shoes from the laundry bag or pillowcase and let them air dry. If you prefer to use the dryer, choose a cycle with low heat and place the shoes on a drying rack.
- Your shoes are now clean and you can enjoy wearing them again!
