360 audio recording with Galaxy phones

When your Galaxy buds are paired to your Galaxy phone, you can record realistic, three dimensional sounds with the Camera app. Your Galaxy buds will detect and record the sounds around you, whether you’re filming your friends, your pets, or a crowded group of people. Note

The One UI 5 software update or higher is required to record 360 audio.

Use 360 audio recording

Before recording a video, you'll need to enable the 360 audio option on your Galaxy buds. First, make sure your buds are connected to your phone via Bluetooth and the Galaxy Wearable app, and then open the Galaxy Wearable app. Tap the switch next to 360 audio. Our sound guide includes more details and tips for using 360 audio. You can follow the steps below when you're ready to start recording.

Place your Galaxy buds in your ears, and then navigate to and open the Camera app. Tap the Settings icon.
Tap Advanced video options, and then tap the switch next to 360 audio recording to turn it on.

Note: Turning on 360 audio recording will disable the Zoom-in mic function.
Then, tap Back twice. Tap VIDEO. You will see 360 MIC in the top right corner.
Tap Record to begin recording your video. Your phone and Galaxy buds will both capture the audio at the same time.
Tap Pause to pause the recording if needed, and then tap Record again to resume. Tap Stop when you are finished.
Your recording will be saved in the Gallery app.
