Link your mobile and TV Samsung Health apps

Samsung Health is already available on iOS and Android as a standalone app. You may already have Samsung Health running on your mobile device and can continue to use it independently of the TV app. The mobile app is focused on helping you track key wellness metrics and manage your personal health. The TV app, on the other hand, offers a more content-driven experience with health and wellness content that helps you reach or maintain your fitness goals.

Connect mobile devices with Samsung Health on TV

To enjoy the best experience, we recommend connecting your mobile app and other compatible accessories (such as a Samsung smart watch) with the experience on your TV. This will allow you to control your health and wellness across multiple devices.

In order to do so, the following conditions need to be met:

  • In order to use Samsung Health on your TV, the TV must be logged in with the same Samsung account as your Samsung Health mobile app, and you must link your two accounts together. This can be done inside the dashboard on the Samsung Health TV app.

  • Fitness content provided by Samsung TVs can also be accessed in the Samsung Health app on your phone. Open the Samsung Health app and then tap the Fitness tab to view different content.

  • Note: With the Samsung Health app version 6.15 and later, you must sign in to your Samsung account to use Samsung Health. If you don't want to create a Samsung account on your phone, you can download your Samsung Health data to your phone storage instead.

Use Mirror view with Samsung Health

Mirror view works in conjunction with Samsung Health's workout programs. You'll just need to select a workout you'd like to do on your Galaxy phone and then you can screen mirror it to your TV. Once Mirror view has been activated, you'll be able to see yourself during the video.

  1. First, make sure you have a workout program added to your Samsung Health account.

  2. When you’re ready, open the Samsung Health app on your phone, tap the Home tab, and then swipe to and tap your desired program.

  3. Tap Download workout, and when it's done downloading, tap Start workout.

  4. The workout video will begin playing; tap the Pause icon if needed. Then, tap the Smart View icon.

  5. Select your TV from the list of available devices, and then tap Start now to begin screen mirroring.

  6. Once your phone is being displayed on the TV, tap the Selfie video icon. You may need to tap More options (the three vertical dots) in order to access the icon.

  7. A small window will appear, and you’ll be able to see yourself on both your phone and the TV screen. Touch and hold the window to move it around the screen.

  8. Mirror view uses your phone's selfie camera, so prop up your phone somewhere that it can see you while you exercise. That way, you’ll be able to watch the workout and yourself at the same time! If you are wearing a compatible Galaxy smart watch, you'll also see relevant statistics, like your heart rate, displayed on the screen as well.

  9. When you no longer want to use Selfie video, tap the X in the small window. Tap the Smart View icon, and then tap Disconnect.

  10. From there, you can continue the workout program or exit it.
