Update the SmartThings app
Missing out on updates is never fun, especially when it comes to SmartThings. That's because updates can install new features, fix annoying bugs, or add more compatible smart devices. And not to mention, a recent update just gave SmartThings a brand new user interface.
Update the app
There are two ways to update SmartThings: through the app itself or through the Play Store.
On your phone, navigate to and open SmartThings. Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines), and then tap Settings. Next, swipe to and tap About SmartThings. If an update is available, tap Update and review the on-screen instructions.
Remember, you can also update the app through the Play Store. On your phone, open Play Store, and then tap Menu (the three horizontal lines). Tap My apps & games, and then tap Update next to SmartThings.
