Choose your Galaxy.
Dual Pixel Sensor lets you capture perfect images in the dark.
For photography, a lack of light can be tough. That’s why the camera in the Galaxy S8 and Note8 have a Dual Pixel Sensor to let in more light. The result? Your photos and videos come out brighter, sharper and clearer.

How it works
Dual Pixel technology is DSLR-grade. Every pixel is larger, and there’s more of them letting the camera quickly autofocus in the dark. Add in the brighter F1.7 lens and you get images you’d never expect from a smartphone.

ISO sensitivity
50 - 800
ISO is a measure of the camera’s sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO, the brighter the image.
Shutter speed
1/24000 - 10
Faster shutter speeds (such as 1/24000) are better for capturing fast-moving action. Slower speeds (such as 10 seconds) are often used to make moving objects appear blurred.
White balance
2300K - 10000K
White Balance lets you manually adjust the overall color value. There are even pre-set balances so you can adjust the color with a tap.
Manual focus
Choose the point at which your camera focuses; from a few inches, to far away.

Combat camera shake with Optical Image Stabilization.
You’re not always perfectly still when shooting. That’s when Optical Image Stabilization on the S8 goes to work and keeps things steady. The Galaxy Note8 features OIS on both 12MP rear cameras—a world first.
Dual OIS only on Galaxy Note8.
How it works
The secret for smooth, steady shots? Gyroscopes. When you mount lenses on them, they counteract any movement in your hand. So if you go one way, the lens goes the other, keeping the camera on a constant axis.
