Will your new fridge fit?
Check to make sure your new refrigerator will fit and that your home is accessible for delivery.
-
Measure height
Measure the height of the space where you will stall your refrigerator. Add an extra inch for ventilation.
-
Measure width
Measure the width of the space, including countertop overhang. Account for at least two inches on any side that has a door hinge, to be able to open the door at least 90 degrees.
-
Measure depth
Allow some extra space on each side (1/8”) and back (2”) for ventilation. Be sure to allow additional space to open your refrigerator door if installing against a wall.
-
Walk the delivery route
Identify the narrowest opening that the appliance will travel, from outside the home to the location where it will be installed. Appliance depth or width must be smaller than the width of the narrowest opening.
