Wash in two different ways
Both Agitator and Impeller washers use friction to break up stains. However, they differ in the way the washing action works.
Agitators
An Agitator washer has a spindle in the center of the washer with spiral wings. It rotates back and forth to agitate the water so the clothes rub against each other, breaking up stains. Agitator machines have a familiar design, so their functionality is common and well-known.
Impellers
An Impeller washer has a disk structure at the bottom of a washer. It rotates to create a water current in the center of the drum, making clothes rub against each other to create friction and remove dirt. Impeller machines tend to have a larger capacity than agitator machines.
Which one is right for you?
Tests show that many new Agitators and Impellers are equally efficient in terms of cleaning power, vibration, noise, power consumption, water consumption, and wear on clothes. Both will give you the same outstanding results you expect from a Samsung washing machine.
