Steps to a smarter switch
Switch to Samsung
Prepare to switch
Make sure you have everything needed for a smooth transfer
- Fully charged devices.
- Charger for each device. (Transfer time can be long if you need to transfer a lot of data)
- USB cable from your new device or USB cable from your old device and USB OTG adapter. (Wired transfer only)
Download Smart Switch
You'll need Smart Switch on your old and new device. It will already be on your new Samsung device so be sure to download it on your old device.
Insert your sim card
Install your SIM card in your new device. Once the transfer is complete, you can make calls, send and receive messages, and more.
Start the transfer
Open Smart Switch on your old device and your new Samsung device to begin the transfer.
Note: Wireless transfer is the preferred way to transfer.
