    The Sun Downer

    Mix your favorite drink and take it to a sunny spot. The more detailed the glass, the better. Tilt your glass to cast an intricate shadow.

    Then set your camera on Pro Mode, tap the aperture icon and make sure it’s on f2.4. Then drag the shutter speed left or right, tap the screen to focus on the glass, and take the shot.

    The Sundial

    Pour yourself a drink in a colorful glass and take it outside on a bright day. Then arrange it in the sun so it casts a dramatic shadow.

    In Pro Mode, tap the aperture icon and make sure it’s on f2.4. Then drag the shutter speed left or right, tap the screen to focus on the glass, and take the shot.

    The Refresher

    Pour your drink of choice and take it somewhere sunny. Then position the glass so it casts a unique shadow. Switch your camera to Pro Mode, tap the aperture icon, and set it to f2.4. Then drag the shutter speed left or right, and take the shot.

    Play around with the composition by adding more glasses and objects to the setting.

    The Edge of the World

    Face a beautiful landscape, sit on the ground, and stretch out your legs. Hold your Galaxy Note9 at a low angle, select Auto Mode, and tap your feet. Then wait for the sunset icon to appear and take the shot.

    To make your photo even more interesting, add some props to the foreground, like a blanket or a book.

    The Sun-Kissed Silhouette

    Have your partner stand in front of the sunset while holding a blanket over their body. As they do, place your Galaxy Note9 on a tripod or stable surface facing them, select Pro Mode, and set the aperture to f2.4. Then join them, pose, and click the Bluetooth Trigger on your S Pen to take a selfie from afar.

    The Solstice

    Go to your favorite spot at magic hour–the part of dawn or dusk when the sun’s the most red. Use a tripod or a stable surface to prop up your phone, set your camera to Auto Mode, and tap the sun once it hits the trees. Then take your photo.

    Feel free to experiment with your shot by showing more ground or sky.

    The Metropolis

    Stand between two buildings and aim your camera upward. Align your shot by tapping the gear icon at the top right corner and choosing Grid lines > 3x3.

    Then hold your finger on the base of one building to lock the exposure, and take your shot.

    The Underbelly

    Walk under a long bridge and stand facing the other side. Then tilt your camera up so that the bridge feels like it’s connected to the top of the frame.

    Put your camera on Auto Mode, tap the underside of the bridge to expose the detail, and then take your shot.

    The Upshot

    First, go under a structure and look up for a different perspective. A ferris wheel will do. Then put your phone on Auto Mode, use the sky to frame your subject, tap on it to focus, and take the shot.

    The Inception

    Place your Galaxy Note9 on a tripod or stable surface, and point it at a window with a view. Drag the brightness scale left or right to darken or lighten the scene. Then, lock the focus on the railing, walk into the picture, and click the Bluetooth Trigger on your S Pen to take the photo.

    Tunnel Vision

    Get a friend to stand in front of a large, hollow object. Then line up a shot on the other side so they’re in the middle of the frame. Lock the focus on your subject by holding your finger on the screen for one second, and take the shot.

    The Structure

    Find an interesting object or structure somewhere? Try turning it into a frame.

    First, look around to see what you can frame up, and position your subject matter squarely in the middle of your frame. While on Auto Mode, hold your thumb on your subject until the the AF/AE Lock circle appears. Then take your shot.

    The Vertigo

    Set up two chairs in a room: one right-side-up, and another with its legs facing a wall. Next, put your Galaxy Note9 on a tripod or stable surface, aim it at the scene, and sit in the upright chair in a pose that looks like you’re falling.

    Then take your photo by clicking the Bluetooth Trigger on your S Pen. In your Gallery, spin the photo 90° by tapping Photo Editor Pro > Transform > Rotate.

    The Magic Portal

    Bring a mirror outside and place it in the grass. It could be a small travel mirror, or one of any shape or size.

    Then set your Galaxy Note9 down, angle it at the mirror, and stand in the reflected spot. With your hands behind your back, click the Bluetooth Trigger on your S Pen to take the shot.

    The Levitation

    Grab a friend and a lightweight object, like a tennis ball or an empty cup with a lid.

    Set your camera to Auto Mode and take a Burst Shot while your friend throws the object into the air. Do this by pressing and holding the shoot button. Then pick out the image in your Gallery where the object is at its peak.

    The Idyll

    Find a unique tree worth capturing? Then put your Galaxy Note9 on Auto Mode, frame the tree in the center of your camera, let the tree icon appear, and shoot.

    The Note9 recognizes trees automatically to take nature to a whole new level.

    The Feast

    Serve a unique meal in a simple dish. Make sure there’s contrast between the food, the plate, and the table. Then hold your Galaxy Note9 above it, put it on Auto Mode, let the food icon appear, and shoot.

    The Note9 recognizes food automatically and optimizes it to enhance the presentation.

    The Bouquet

    Arrange a bouquet of flowers on a table so they take up at least ¼ of the frame. Then select Auto Mode, wait until the flower icon appears, and shoot.

    The Galaxy Note9 recognizes flowers automatically and optimizes them for brilliant shots.

    Shadow Stripes

    At night, go inside a room that’s close to a streetlight. Position a friend in front of the blinds, and open and close them so harsh shadows appear.

    Select Pro Mode, set your aperture to f1.5, and drag the shutter speed to create sharp shadows. Then shoot.

    The Accordion

    Find a staircase or bleachers on a sunny day, and set your Galaxy Note9 on a stable surface or tripod. Then stand in a way that casts your shadow onto the steps and experiment with different poses. As you do, click the Bluetooth Trigger on your S Pen to take your picture.

    The Light Tattoo

    Go into a sunny room with lace curtains. Position a friend in front of the sun and move the curtains so a light tattoo forms on them. Then tap the brightest part of the picture to create stark shadows, and take the shot.
