  • 1. What does OLED stand for?

OLED stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode. OLED TVs use LEDs that produce their lights using organic particles.
  • Rather than using a backlight, OLED TVs are able to individually control and light up every pixel that makes up the screen. Being able to swich each pixel on and off means they can produce deeper blacks and incredible contrast, for a more detailed picture in the darkest scenes.
  • Both the S90C and the S95C are excellent TVs, but upgrade to the S95C and you also get HDR OLED brightness, cinematic sound from 8 built in speakers, all packed into our Infinity One Design with One Connect Box to make it Samsung's thinnest TV as well.

Find the best TV for you in our TV buying guide.
  • When choosing between Neo QLED and OLED TVs, it depends on your specific needs. Neo QLED TVs offer higher brightness levels, perfect for brighter rooms and daytime viewing. They also don't suffer from screen burn. On the other hand, OLED TVs produce pure blacks with limitless contrast, making them ideal for cinematic viewing in darker environments or at night. However, they can be susceptible to screen burn if an image is left on-screen for a long time.

You can learn more about the differences between OLED vs QLED vs LED in our guide.
