How to remove accounts from your Galaxy phone or tablet
You can remove an account from your Galaxy phone or tablet if you're no longer using it, or if you don't want it associated with your device anymore. Just remember: after it has been removed, you will not have access to any of the account's data unless you add the account back again.
Remove a Samsung account
Removing a Samsung account is different than permanently deleting your account. Removing a Samsung account is temporary; you can always add it back later.
1
Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup".
2
Tap "Accounts".
3
Select your Samsung account.
4
Tap "Personal info", then tap the More options icon (three vertical dots). If your device doesn't have a "Personal info" section, tap the More options icon.
5
Tap "Sign out", then tap "Sign out". Enter your password to verify your identity, and then tap "OK".
Remove a Google account
Just like with a Samsung account, you can remove your Google account as well. The steps are similar, and the process is just as easy.
1
Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup".
2
Tap "Accounts", then select your Google account.
3
Tap "Remove account", then tap "Remove account" again to confirm.
Remove an email account
Maybe you just got a new job, so you have a new email address. No worries, you can remove email accounts on your phone too.
1
Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup".
2
Tap "Accounts", then select your email account.
3
Tap "Remove account", then tap "Remove account" again to confirm.
