How does Samsung’s folding phone work?
Samsung’s folding phones are designed for the future, with you in mind. Our folding screen phones are made using highly-engineered, extra thin Corning Gorilla Victus glass that is ultra flexible, allowing you to fold and unfold your phone effortlessly.
At the centre of each phone’s innovative design is a finely crafted, bespoke spine or hinge, that allows you to open and close the phone. Thanks to the small gap between the two halves of the phone, when you close your folding phone shut, the two sides of glass don’t touch, preventing friction between the two halves. The hinge can also be used to hold your Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 partially open at varying angles - perfect for taking selfies or recording vlogs.
