  • To use SmartThings, download the app from the Galaxy Store, Play Store, or App Store. The app requires Android OS 9↑ with a minimum of 3GB RAM space or iOS 14↑.

  • All devices should be connected to Wi-Fi or other wireless network, and registered with a single Samsung Account. 

  • Availability may vary by country, region, service provider, network environment, or device, and may change without notice.

  • The maximum number of devices that can be connected to SmartThings is 200 per location. However, the maximum number of devices that can be connected may be limited depending on the user's network environment. Up to 10 locations per account can be used, up to 20 rooms per location, and up to 20 members can be invited per account by the administrator who registered the location.

  1. This feature requires a connection to SmartThings and use of the Bluetooth function of your mobile phone. It must be set up once through the SmartThings app settings. This function is only available for robot vacuum cleaners (Model: VR7MD******), stand-type air conditioners (Only for Korea, Model: AF**DX******), and air purifiers (Only for Korea, Model: AX***DB9****) launched in  2024. The timing of providing this feature may vary depending on the product release country. As of April '24, this feature is only supported on Samsung mobile devices.

  2. The availability of Smart Forward upgrades may vary by product and region.

  3. This feature requires a connection to SmartThings and must be set up once in the Energy service within the SmartThings app. Depending on the country, options for (1) Off-Peak Charging and (2) Carbon Aware Charging may vary. This feature is only supported by robot vacuum cleaner models released in 2024 (VR7MD*******). The timing of providing this feature may vary depending on the product release country. In case of low battery during cleaning, the vacuum will be fully charged to complete its cleaning process.

  4. This feature requires the use of the Bluetooth function of your mobile phone and needs to be set up once through settings in the device. This feature is only supported on devices with [AI Home] (except for Anyplace Induction) The timing of providing this function varies by country where products are released.

  5. This feature is only supported on devices with [AI Hub] Map View cannot be edited on DA screens.

  6. Requires 2024 Smart TV.

  7. Available for Family Hub released in 2024 in Korea/North America/India (requires vibration sensor).

  8. Applied products : Air Conditioner, Air Purifier, Hood, TV, Lights, Switches.

  9. The availability of this function may vary by product and region. 

  10. This feature requires a connection to SmartThings and must be set up once in the Energy service within the SmartThings app. Devices won't automatically turn on Energy saving mode if they're not connected to SmartThings. [AI Energy Mode] only saves energy when necessary to achieve your set goals after comparing predicted monthly usage and golas. If the predicted monthly usage is within the goal, the device won't operate in AI Energy Mode even if AI Energy Mode is on. Supported devices: AI Energy Mode can be used by air conditioners shown in SmartThings Energy and BESPOKE models of Samsung washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other devices. Some devices may not be available for use with this feature. AI Energy Mode may not be available depending on which modes your devices are running in. Depending on the country, options for [AI Eneregy Mode] may vary. The savings amount for each device is estimated based on tests performed by Samsung Electronics. The estimated savings may differ from your actual savings. Updating your energy saving data can take up to 24 hours. Eco stamp is earned by saving 400 Wh electricity thorugh AI Energy Mode  in a day. Only Eco stamp which is created on the day can be changed to Samsung Rewards in Energy Service. This feature is available in the KR and U.S and conversion ratio is subject to change depending on the business circumstances.
