What to do when your Samsung Galaxy Watch slows down

Last Update date : Jul 15. 2022

If the watch screen appears slow or frozen, the issue could be caused by out dated software, a third party app, or even the watch's physical condition. Unclean hands, optional accessories, gloves, and sharp objects can also prevent the screen from responding properly.

1 Restart your watch
  1. From the watch's Home screen, press and hold the Power key. Then, tap Power off.
  2. After it has completely shut down, press and hold the Power key again to restart your watch.
  3. The watch will automatically reconnect with your phone or tablet after a few moments. Touch the top of the watch screen and then swipe down to view the watch's connections status.

Depending on the situation, the issue may not be with your watch, but with your phone or the Galaxy Wearable app. If that's the case, you will need to restart your phone

  1. From the phone's Home screen, press and hold the Power key. Then, tap Power off.
  2. After it has completely shut down, press and hold the Power key again to turn it on.
  3. Once powered on, navigate to and tap the Galaxy Wearable app. Make sure both devices are connected.

When restarting your watch to fix a problem, be sure to check for software and app updates on your watch and to the Galaxy wearable app
